Mike was the best. What a discipline, determination, an innate talent, an ingrowing fury... I miss big Mike specially this days when talkin about heavyweight boxing narrows to the klitschko's and the guys they beat... That's why we miss mike, and he'll always be remembered. Tyson was the strongest, fastest, most dangerous fighting machine God ever created.
It's that repitition that makes an athlete great. You train and train until it becomes so second nature that you can react without even thinking. That's when you know you've mastered it. If you get bored, throw more challenges your way and keep working until that gets boring, and so on and so forth. When you watch Tyson fight, you know you're seeing a fighter that has trained as hard as humanly possible. That's what made him great. Raw talent is important, but hard work equals greatness.
look at when he lost in a ko's buster, lennox, onoly when he was clearly not on his game . He didnt have the same hart for fighting since 1990,he was skrewed for everything he had so bad that he fought to pay for his bills later in his career lennox fight was a payday . holyfield couldnt even knock him after headbuting the shit out of him 2 DIFFERENT FIGHTS. Mike Tyson's the best boxer ever
@SuperStuart93 the other thing is that the tyson who fought douglas kills lewis.tyson wasnt in his best shape vs douglas but he was still good.on the other hand douglas was mutated to a beast.that was phenomenal.
@thatsthesameoldshit Ya thats when his emotion was wash up, and he started not using he's technique. If he would've stick with the same of training crew, he would've stay impenetrable !!
I've always been a fan of Iron Mike, I just wish he had stayed with Kevin Rooney and not fallen in with the bad crowd who blew his head up while draining his bank account.
TYSON would go down as the GREATEST boxer of all time, but the only thing that is stopping that would be the REP he had outside the ring. . . still the greatest in my mind. long live KING TYSON
the timing he had to throw the combination on berbick will never be repeated again even dundee said whilst in berbicks corner he had never seen combinations like that with the speed & power combined . years later he would change his mind as alot of people even larry merchant who in the program with tyson back then says on camera he thought tyson would come out the winner. lucky for tv i have all this evidence
i have allready thought about what u said roy jones was unbelievable at lower weights ,i mean tyson would have landed 1 lightning combination on someone as statued as ruiz. ali was quick against a defensless cleveland williams but i still think tyson was quicker than ali ,not many will agree but i judge punching & slipping & countering combinrd
his speed was unbelievable faster than any current boxer in any weight division including the p4p fighters i can watch the sparring scene over & over.lucky for video evidence lol
For a heavyweight he is insanely fast there has only probably been 2 people as fast as him in the heavyweight division (Ali and RJJ) nut to say his unbelievably faster than anyone in any weight division is going a little overboard. I mean look at Zab Judah, De La Hoya, Pacman and the list just goes on.

The worst thing to happen to an icon is to have his rep completely demolished after a domestic related incident.
Now its Tiger Wood's turn to wear the crown of shame.
