I'm crazy about this song. Like, as soon as it starts playing I close my eyes and my heart rate just speeds up. I don't know why but it has this effect on me...it's just powerful.
i tell you one thing this band could write some great 80's riffs and all though there accused of beig led zep i think should i is a brilliant track as most of there other tracks
que rola transporting a otra realidad ...muy bueno hands of time..desde stone fury es grande..go.¡¡.kingdom come..llegara tu reino..orale buen hard-rock..¡¡a.n.d..¡¡..from aca-2011..morelos..¡¡
I Liked the first Lp a lot (regardless of the Zep like sound) but their second album they sounded more like (with the vocals) "Rush a lot...in my opinion.
Still...i liked them a lot, very under rated band for the time.
Who cares about the comparisons with Plant? Lenny Wolf is a talented singer and songwriter. This is off the great cd Hands of Time, the first without the original members. He has kept this band going and his fanbase is worldwide and he and KC continue to blow away critics and competition.
I really like this CD. One of a few I would grab in a disaster. A very rare treat, all the tunes are melodic, musically interesting & powerful. Thanks for the tunes Lenny........
Lenny was shooting pool at a lil sports bar in rancho santa margarita ca. last Friday and my boyfriends band 5 South were playing and Lenny came up and sang "All Right Now" by Free, he sounded pretty good still.....
They are so underrated. Their first 3 albums are classics in my book. Blues Saraceno did a good job of guitar on this album, as did the replacement drummer (I forget his name).
heard this band when i was around 11 years....and never found any albums in my country........till 1999 when i got the internet!!!---they are a legend....
When i listen to KINGDOM COME i must say that i get special feelings his music (LENNY WOLF) he is before our time his music is from other world an another time an another space he his EINSTEIN OF HEAVY MUSIC!! GREATEST!!!!
The amount of closeups in the video reflect his flaunted egotism in the industry, however, nonetheless I cannot refute that Lenny was an amazing singer, although quite full of himself.
@JDSoccer10 "The amount of closeups in the video reflect his flaunted egotism ... " ONLY if he produced and directed the video -- the shot choices are most likely business/label-driven, as almost every group needs a "face" to identify with ... that aside, this is still a solid, riff-driven group
Not a big fan of the video but I do like the song and love the band. They were the right band at the wrong time. The media compared them to Led Zeppelin and that sealed there fate. That's too bad because they were really talented.
Why does no one mention that Kingdom Come is Stone Fury as well? ^^ Just check it out! Great Music...expecially "Too Late" and "Stay" - should listen to that, too^^
Lenny fucked all with this record. He and I worked for about a year (alone) in my apartment in Hamburg. The two of us alone went to 'Hit Factory' in NYC and recorded it with extra musicians. - To make a boring story short, Polygram dumped him and he never paid my one dollar or deutche mark for all the time, effort, arranging and drumming. He's a real self centered person.
..and this is not my opinion, it's one shared by many.
I dont give a fuck what anybody says about them. He cant help what his voice sounds like and furthermore Lenny is more a more technically sound vocalist than Plant. I have always liked em. SO fuck anybody who dont like em! lol
@liveevil9081 " ... a more technically sound vocalist ... "??? great vocal quality for sure, but as far as pitch accuracy goes, he goes flat too often
Even though often compared to Zepp, KC is much more modern. And they take it to another level. Rock radio sucks, they don't get much airplay as for other good bands. When it's all said and done KC will go down in the books as huge, already are basically. hope Lenny and the boys can continue to write kick ass tunes.
Sorry that you think that a bad thing. Being like Zeplin would be a good thing. They had this song and another. I just think they got a little too much like them.
I really like these guys when they dropped in on everybody. Just one problem......everybody kept comparing them to FREAKIN ZEPPLIN!!!!!!!!.....If these guys were allowed to continue, they would've blown up and gotten huge!!!!!!!
It's really boring to follow up all the comparisons. It's all about songwriting folks. And you bet Plant & Page would not worry if they had written "Should I". A great song is a great song is a great song. And this one is an old time classic.
@DPGRINDHOUSE thanks for saying that, grindhouse. i was proud of those lyrics. when i wrote them, i had a really good feeling about them. ~ carol tatum
if you compare judgement day of whitesnakes to this song there are a lot of similarities.....who knows who came first...but i prefer this one sounds more progressive....
I remember well when Kingdom Come's first album was released. It was like a breath of fresh air in an era of staleness. The second albums was also quite interesting even though it didn't reach the high standard of it's predecessor. Too bad there were so many comparisons with Led Zep. It seems people were so caught up in that story, they no longer spoke about the great music the band delivered. Sadly, it seems everything went downhill from there. Oh well, if Anvil is now back on top, anybody can.
I agree... Zep heads were seething with envy over this band instead of just letting go and enjoying the music. Seriously, who cares who or what you sound like? Rappers rip musicians off every day and nobody cries fowl.
Agreed. Besides, Zep fans being angry over what they perceived as theft of the Zeppelin sound was absurd considering Zeppelin stole whole songs, note for note from black blues artists and never paid 'em a dime! Which is worse? If KC ripped off Zeppelin, I can say Zeppelin ripped off classic blues artists even more. For the record, I love Zeppelin, I'm just illustrating a point that Zeppelin wasn't "original." They played blues...Page didn't invent blues.
Thank you, thank you. Living in Detroit at this time there were only two radio stations of any strength that played Rock. 98.7 WLLZ (The Wheelz) and 101.1 WRIF (The WRIF Baby!) with the phenom dj Arthur Penhallow "Lock it in and JERK YOUR KNOBS OFF!!!..." Led Zepplin was played all over the place and this was at the beginnings of MTV. KC had videos for their songs and LZ was a band that came before MTV.. go figure. We thought at first that this WAS Zepplin. MTV shocked & confused us there.
Very nice... haven't heard the song for a loooooooong time. You know, I might be a youngster with my 31 years and I used to be a kid back in that time when I first heard the song, but since there the song haven't left my mind even for a second. Thank you for putting the video here on youtube, because that jerks from MTV won't play it..
At first I thought your comment was full of shit till I did an online comparison. And I agree... The riffs are very close but still I prefer Kingdom Come over Led Zeppelin any day. I'm from a different generation bro.
That's all good.wether you like KC or LED ZEP that don't matter.that's you.people have different taste of music my bro.although, you've gotta agree that they were heavily influenced by ZEP as many other bands.don't get me wrong KC is still one of my fav bands. Their first two albums are the best.
All the media coverage aside... If I were to guess which band was their greatest influenece, I would have guessed Led Zeppelin as well. I'm just curious as to whether or not record executives were the ones whom told KC never to admit to that.
Yes my friend it is!!!It is a huge band I havent' heard before, when I first listened to What Love Can Be, and then I found the mp3 collection, and I ensure you it is amazing!!!
