  • Hi my mum said i could get a dog what do you think i should get a jack russell in a few months or try and get some money together and get a staffordshire bull terrier in a few week? i would like a dog that is loving and playful but im not sure if that would be down to the breed or the actual dog itself? thanks :)

  • @bammargeraskate96 Hi. If you want a dog that is always by your side, totally loyal, loving & is playful when you want, then I would go for a staffy. Plus staffies don't bark at anything that moves & they are not snappy. I had a jack russel when I was younger & it was a pain to have. Happy dog hunting ;)

  • @treclie Thanks for your advice :)

  • Highly trained for a pure Staffy.. " Stay!" .. keeps on walking... "Stay!".. keeps on walking...face it guys.. there is never going to be a dog show of dozens of Staffies in perfect synchronization, balancing on wires whilst riding a motorbike! ,, but that sort of thing is animal cruelty.. Staffies are just our pals!

  • @lozman67 Hi. That's one reason why I never really trained him like so many other folk who treat they furry friends as some sort of circus act. In fact I wouldn't even call him a pet, but more like my master. ;)

  • What a little cutieee lol! My staff is also very small like this which is actually the way they are ment to be! But yours is sooo sweet with that beautiful famous staffie grin lol! x

  • @DionneM2011 He is very spoilt as well. He gets all the lovely attention in the streets & around town while I get the dirty looks. ;)

  • @treclie Lol story of my life!! We have two staffies and people usually run away from them or get nervous without knowing how sweet and friendly they both are..

  • Love him.x

  • @marlyclay Ie, he is a real cutie. ;)

  • its not got alot to do with the hight. breed standard states 14-16lns at shoulder and weight of 28-38 lb but wethr above that or not as long as they are in proportion and have breed characteristics.

  • Cute little thing, I keep getting told my little man is too small, but it's mainly from people with Staffy Crosses.

I think it's the cut elittle grin they have. I got a white Staffy from the RSPCA, and he's the best dog I've ever had. Very loyal, VERY clever, and horribly good at emotional manipulation. I've been known to forget my lunch, and not go home for it because I can only deal with the big brown "don't leave me" eyes once a day.

  • @BeakerUK Hi. What I have found with a lot of staffie owners is they are ignorant of the size that the should be. Mine is short compared to his siblings, but is far more stocky. Folk have said he his too short, but this is far from the case.

There are or were a lot of so called Staffies going around who are in fact not pure & are linked to the pitbull. At the end of the day he's my very spoilt boy & I don't care of his height & he is the master of the house. ;)

  • @treclie

Likewise here, out little Albert pretty much rules the roost. It seems the most important person in the house is My Wife, then the Dog, then the Fish, then me! Bertie gets whatever he wants!

  • @BeakerUK thats the best comment ive heard for staffies 'emotional manipulation' those eyes and smile cant help but love em

  • wow, how much i love there streong shoulders eh. wonderful,

  • @nznaturopath Glad you like him. He is one beautiful dog including his temperament.

  • Wow... Cute dog alert! :) I only know the brown or black coloured ones... Does his colour not give him trouble during warm summer days?

Cute dog... Big hugs and a loud cheer for the staffies :)

  • @DutchieOnline Hi, Yes he is cute & is one beautiful dog all round. He is fine with the sun, but I do monitor him so I really havn't tested if he'll bake or not.

  • what a perfect dog! he s got just the perfect size! you dont see these "orginal" dogs these days anymore...

  • Jus one word beautifull

  • Wow what a handsome little Staffy, I love his short wee legs.

  • @GSXWJA LOL. Yep he has stumpy legs like his dad, but he his stocky with it.

  • Oh yes he is.

  • no is a staffy

  • gorgeous staffy! =]
