Guess what, the sarcophagus is falling apart. It was designed to last for 30 years but it began leaking after just 10 years. Now the sarcophagus has holes all through it.

Nuclear waste CANNOT be contained. The waste will eventually leak out and Australia's people + the beautiful outback will be turned into another Chernobyl/ Piparat.

Australia is tectonically stable and there is little risk of any danger. There are plenty of granite batholiths in Oz that generate their fair share of radioactivity.
