  • love the video really good

  • How bout we dump it at your house tossers

  • put it on space rocket and fire it into the direction of the Sun ??..

  • In 1999 Pangea (sponsored by BNFL) rules out the idea of putting nuclear waste in areas where there is any of the following: "high rainfall, permeable rocks, and mountains which would drive the water flow."

In 2011, Cumbria that area of "high rainfall, permeable rocks and mountains" is bribed and lied to by the UK government. What good is money if the land is too fiercely radioactive to sustain life?

  • They don't make sense send it into space or put it on mars don't put it on earth and aus has alot of mining

  • dump it in Mick Dundee's back yard

  • Is that real or just a .......WTF...I don't fuckin think so!!!!!!! Over my dead body!.............We dont have nuclear power plants in this country why the hell would we want every other idiots waste from them? And the gov wants to tax us for carbon!?!?!?!

  • Once again, mankind FAIL. Firstly.. how long do they think befor they run out of space when 80% of are power comes from this?.. as opposed to 17%. Then... did they ever consider the terrorist implications this has?. All those fresh containers shipping around the world, thousands of opertunitys.

  • australians,,why dont you all stopped working untill your govt gets rid of that shit?? it seams to have worked for egypt...u have a beautiful country...dont let ur fukwit govt ruin it...our planet is fuked up every where else, y should u go the same way?

  • Let's bury the sh!t in Afghanistan !

  • does she shut up

  • i know a better place, your mouth

  • fuck off

  • oh great its already done this is a joke im doing looking firther into this why are aussies saying nothing and getting rid of this shit.

  • dont you dare put them here

what a joke if the world has the earth split and techtocic plates that whole thing breaks ,where not taking everyones wate got it.

  • The Russians built a massive sarcophagus around the number 4 reactor of chernobyl (The reactor that exploded) to contain the radiation.

Guess what, the sarcophagus is falling apart. It was designed to last for 30 years but it began leaking after just 10 years. Now the sarcophagus has holes all through it.

Nuclear waste CANNOT be contained. The waste will eventually leak out and Australia's people + the beautiful outback will be turned into another Chernobyl/ Piparat.

    DONT DUMP IN AUS

  • How about we just jetison it into deep space?

  • @rockygecko too risky! if the craft carrying the waste were to explode (ie, like the challenger) it would fall back to earth over a large area. I wouldn't worry too much. Australia is tectonically stable and there is little risk of any danger. There are plenty of granite batholiths in Oz that generate their fair share of radioactivity.

  • i eat nuclear material every day. what is this shit? LOL. just breakfast to me.

  • I think the rest of my fellow Australians missed it.., the contract has already been signed and the deal is done., radio-active waste disposal in Australia is already happening thanks to that suck cock John Howard

  • @mysty0 really,,this has to be stopped why are we taking radioctiive waste that clearly doesnt go for what they estimate 200,000 what a joke,if the earths plates move thats it,its underground,,and 200,000 that howard is ass licker and we gave them places to store their wa\ste what a joke.this is so fucked,,

this is bad,,i want to know so this has been going on 3 years nope ppl build their own one,,we arnt taking other ppl waste this is insanity.and the whole worlds waste i cannot belive this,

  • Pangea cracks me up

    oh, hey

  • might be usefull for building the frames for solar arrays close to the sun. nuclear reactors far away from the sun. drills for chewing up the moons surface for underground living.

  • the united states would be the best place to store N.W. stable politcal system, not to mention a negative trade ballance. and who knows we might find some use for the stuff. after all they do make depleated uranium shells for tanks and what not. very dense metals. what else can do with them.

  • any county that agreed to take the waste could ask the U.N to place a tax on the waste from the respective countries thus generating a long term term income source for storing the waste,

  • even a better idea is to find a way to squeexe the extra energy out of the waste. if it is stll radio active then it is still producing energy. with all of the waste that is being produced it adds up to a lot of energy.

  • fk u my home is not ur rubbish dump!

  • The douchebags don't know what to do with the waste that should exist in the first place... Oh, I know! Stick it in someone elses country! Keep this shit out of my country.

  • And everyone saying to launch this stuff into space...

    what a terrible idea...

How many failed or tragic rocket launches have there been?

Yes, what a great idea! let's take chance that nuclear waste will shower down from the sky onto the mainland or the ocean.

    fucking R-tards

  • i think its a GREAT IDEA!!! no sarcasm here im afraid.

  • Is everyone really so concerned about the spelling???

    Pangea - the company

    Pangaea - the super-continent

Now seriously! nuclear waste down under?

what about all the kangaroos that will be used to work the storage facility.

  • The only safe answer is too send it into space.

    anything else is evil lies.

  • pangea is the name of a company ,not pangaea the supercontinent, they can spell it however they want

  • i like this idea since Australia is on the other side of the earth from my home. when can we start shipping

  • We have over 40% of the worlds know uranium in a single ore body (Olympic Dam) . We will just jack up the price for you champ ;)

  • 3:20

  • you all of you misspelled "pangea" it is spelled pangaea

  • Pangea is the correct spelling. Pangea Resources Australia Pty Ltd was registered as a listed company, Australian Company Number: 081 203 652 on the 12/01/1998, and was based at 30 The Esplanade, Perth, WA.

  • actually it is spelled pangea or pangaea it just depends on your resources, remember you could use any of the following words

  • actually it could be spelled as Pangea or Pangaea, both are correct.

  • You all of your misspelled "pangea" it is spelled pangaea.

Well while your on the subject of spelling. You failed to include a proper sentence, capitals or periods in your statement.

  • @qwertlivvy they're talking about ruining the landscape and rescources of beautiful Australia and you worry about how to spell? Lord above, are people really THAT dense anymore?????

  • @gammypetra i wrote that so long ago... i hope that i can console you to tell you that the world around my beautiful home is being destroyed too, i am sorry that you feel that way

    from

    liv

  • Two headed frill neck lizzards??? keep that stuff in your own country thanks.... oh, and I won't be visiting.....

  • I can understand Pangea's way of thinking. It makes perfect sense. For instance my neighbours house is much bigger than mine, and has better air conditioning. So I keep all my garbage there, and encourage my family to use his toilet. The combination of various factors make his house much more suitable for shitting in than mine.

  • Nice.

  • This has become even more serious now that the West Australian Premier has flagged he will lift the longstanding ban on Uranium mining in this state.

Loved the video where the nice lady says the casks being dumped not far from me are "stainless steel."

That will make them shiny and easy to clean! All good.

Seriously this will not stand - agheing hippies all over this huge state and around the globe are dusting off their beads and banners to take these corporates on.

  • fajny film:)

  • this is a very good video

  • ...fuckin ridiculous

  • you fucking idiot son of a bitch

  • Seriously, we just have to remember not to be arrogant about this. We have to realize that we as a people can make mistakes.

  • you've got the right attitude

  • THis highlights the primary problem with nuclear power. Yeah, zero CO2 emmissions (except for the energy it takes to mine and refine uranium ore into fuel, and disposal... oh and building the disposal site) but fock... 200k years? There is no way to plan for 100% of what can happen, and if you make a mistake, we're fucked. The problem with humans is that we are...well.. human!

  • i wonder how how the Australians feel about that.

  • Meh, I don't mind that much.

Australia's space program is quite advanced, so we won't need to stay on this nuclear dump for too much longer.

  • lol, austrailia will be the worlds trashcan

  • since the US will soon be creating more nuclear power plants, we need a place to store our spent rods. thank you australia for accepting our nuclear waste for the next 2 million years, you won't regret it.

  • LOL "considers Western Australia to be the best location for a nuclear dump" well it is a dump.

but still those fucking pommes should piss off. we have no nuclear powerplants n it aint gonna benefit us cuz nsw will end up paying for repairs n WA has heaps of bore water. n such propaganda!

n it piss funny "Australia posses a unique combination of natural, political and infrastructual factors which make it the world best for the task" she pronounced australia wrong its au-straaay-lya.

  • Nukleara reaktore no mast stablier unter meridienaustralienn or en part ot Kontinenta, ik tika Austrlieja terra mast endur frai um nuklerijs embairomant. Dis Videsva iss an schait.¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ No Nukleara!!!!!!!

  • no!!! not in my country!!!! i was about to go camping there! fuck!

  • you can still go camping there, just think of the benefits of it, you won't need a lantern anymore and the ground will be warm even on the coldest of nights.

  • I think it is a practical idea, other areas are possibly the Nevada desert, the Russian steppes, the Sahara, the Antarctic.

Face it the waste is increasing, where else should we put it - the Middle East deserts, South America, Africa below the equator, Asia?

Australia would benefit in the long run. It could conceivably finance the conversion of sun power to usable, transportable energy.

  • omg i hope this never happends...

  • seriously I think that the better way to prevent the nuclear waste to harm any kind of life in the planet is as simple as not producing it, after all, the video said it is just 17% that energy can be produced with eolic and solar power

  • Why? Nuclear power is one of the cleanest and most efficient form of producing electricity. And people aren't idiots either. They would take special care when disposing of nuclear waste.

  • There is enough Plutonium in circulation in satellites and stuff to kill everything on the planet over and over and over again...

maybe not strange they send some of it to Jupiter and stuff..

There has been accidents, but not the big baddie yet, but one P reactor is stranded at the sea bottom somewhere deep...

The good thing is those cells are "ceramic" so not all is released unless a burn-up in reentry or similar..

  • What a wonderful piece of propaganda! Must have been on slim PR budgets when they made this mind conditioning twaddle.

  • Would it not be better to use other forms of fuel?

  • In order to avoid toxic waste reaching fresh water and salt water sources we may need to rethink and restructure the proposed Pangaea territories and locations. One idea of great significance would be to change the location proposed in the map shown above. This new idea proposes keeping the site location only in the western third of the illustrated location. The eastern two thirds of the illustrated site may need to be removed because close proximity to bodies of water.

  • who is this proposal directed at? australia is a dynamic and beautiful place, proud to be a nuclear free zone. now it's being considered a nuclear dumping zone to the rest of the world.

    fuck. off.

  • @timefilm Nuclear free?? Errr.... So thats not a Nuclear reactor at lucas Heights?? Errrr.

  • yeah! send it to austrailia! there all criminals anyway eh!

  • how bout your backyard, doof

  • Since when get criminals access to Austarlia.

Fuck off Pangea. You not welcome here.

  • What a waste!!! Its takes 200,000 years and they only use if for about 10 years. What a waste!!!

  • To bad we wont B around 2 enjoy it... :P

  • Scary!

200,000 years is a long time to have radio-active shit burried in the back yard!

But like most exploits of man, they don't care about the mess they leave behind but only the dollars they can get today...

Countries that make the waste should keep their waste. There are plenty of clean alternative energy sources, we just need to tap into them.

If the Australian government ever allowed it to happen there, they'd need rooting up the arse!

  • seriously though man, our species is not about to live another 200,000 years and our species is certainly not about to start caring (on a large scale) what will happen in 200,000 years.

still, i think that the moon is the best place for that shit

  • waste should be stored where it is used, if your worried about earth movements why is there a nuc' plant there in the first place , dumb arse

  • "Yeah, great solution...use Australia as dump. they deserve it"

Fucking humans. Will they ever learn to respect the nature. Radioactive material should be forbidden to use in the whole world. Its too dangerous and we dont need it.

  • Nuclear Material is strange?

A cargo truck by accident dropped a barrel of Nuke waste off a highway in America, and it didn't effect anything the whole 20 Years it was there? But who can forget Chernobyl? Babies are born there with their brains outside their skulls. I guess every nation has its risks. Austrailia is not the only place in the world like that! But if they want it to be that way I ain't sayin shit!

  • haha, somebody had to be up shit creek without a paddle.

white mans say: we've inherited the earth from our ancestry.

indians say: we borrowed it from our children.

    not sure bout translation o_O

  • A bit of a worry to think that this facility could be approved with no vision past the next election.

  • Great Video. Saved me. Got an exam tomorrow to do with Nuclear Waste. Thanks :)

  • Just one more example of the porkies this government tells. Please make sure every Australian sees this. I will do my best to see to it.

  • nice views of Melbourne 5000 km away from Kalgoorlie.

Surely Pangea are aware that there is a massive underground ocean north of kalgoorlie and they have mineral deposits of Gold, Nickel and Silver that will be mined for the next thousand years ?
