This is an ART MATERIAL!!!! It is a GREAT art material and even tho' it's labeled non-toxic it is not something I'd put near my eyes. Just the difference in the manufacturing environments would put me off using it as a makeup.
I also love how mixable these colors are; I've never used a product that is so easy to blend before! With a set, you can make practically any color you want since they have all the basics. This is nice, whether you want to tone down bright colors for everyday use or make hard to find shades to perfectly match anything.

I'm thinking about going in with a couple friends and splitting the cost since the pigment is SO concentrated and you need to apply so little.
Only complaint is, after wearing a lot of powder for a long time, my eyes get a tiiiiny bit itchy, but most heavy make up will do that. I agree that it can be hard to get off, but that is a small con when the pro is that it...
I started using these for my eyes in '07, they're amazing! (I also called to make sure they were safe for use before I blinded myself :P) I think these are even better than expensive products like MAC because they have more color where as even pricey pressed powder brands look diluted when you put them on.
My aunt had a huge Pearl Ex set and I took a couple teaspoons of each in little baggies, but lost them when I moved! I wanna get more but they're SOOO expensive for the big sets and...
