An actor had to make it obvious to the audience that he is 'acting' and no naturalistic elements were expected. Look at the acting style adopted by Bollywood actors of the 60's and 70's, you can see a similar take on performance. Why limit it to Indian music and cinema? How much did Elvis Presley overact?
This is a RAAGAMALIKA (Combination of Kharaharapriya and Saarangi)....Dakshinamoorthy swamy is a great composer and the legendary voice of dasettan....wow its simply awesome :)
@nimmipournami Thank you:) At the risk of repeating myself, you have to listen to Dasettan to understand the true beauty of any raagam..whats the first part? Such a complex melody!!!:)
