We've been told the protests happen every 1st Saturday of the month, but did not see anybody protesting on the corner of Bolsa Chica and Warner on October 3rd. Does anybody have any updates or links with more information?
Remember the ending of the movie "Poltergeist?" ...developers put a housing tract on top of a graveyard. Okay, that was Hollywood, but it illustrates a point.
My ancestors are european. I don't understand the full implication of the term "sacred site"...but I DO know that I would be very disturbed and agitated if MY great grandparents' remains were unearthed and disrespected! Who can contact our law makers? Who can but ordinances on the ballot? WE can....
Excellent history of this significant site. The 6 acres that are left have never been disturbed. It would be like saving it all to save this parcel. Let's do it
When I first started filming this project I thought it was mainly about a habitat restoration. This project has a new meaning to me it's about preserving culture and spreading awareness. Please get involved just dont write a thank you or say great video. Share this with you friends please get involved visit out site.
Our government can throw billions of dollars at Wall Street bankers, mortgage companies and the housing industry, but where are the authorities when it comes to stopping the crimes in Huntington Beach. This is a beautiful, heartfelt video illuminating the crimes of deceit by those that seek to profit from hiding the truth. Destruction of an ancestral home for a stucco home at Bolsa Chica is tragic. I am glad there is a groundswell of people trying to stop this tragic destruction.
Its time to preserve the rest of ORA 83. It is not only part of Native American heritage, it is part of human heritage and deserves to be set aside and protected forever.

Very compelling. We need to do what we can to save the last acres and prevent the desecration of more graves.
