Thought I'd give this a bump not sure what brought me here ? Very ill total postictal, aura,Had a g-mal in public recently and the public reaction was fine "I guess" but the e.r. reaction was a rare one in my years of experience with hosp.and major g-mals (17 yrs) I was treated with meds that counter acted with my meds and had a series of very bad szs. ,I have med. dog tags now . My behavior scared long time e.r. workers so bad they were in shock and either over reacted or did nothing. Rick

It's so great to see someone raising awareness of Epilepsy. I was personally diagnosed at a young age, and was lucky enough to find the right medicine in time. What is sad is the doctors during the time they were attempting to diagnose me had no clue what it was. They said everything from they didn't know to I was throwing a temper tantrum. It's great that you have this video. Thank you.
Great video, i wish more people watched it. I've been to many doctors since my first seizure, and none of them told me which were the steps to take in case of seizure.
Thanks for the video, great m83 fan here too!! :)
Great video. My husband suffers from seizures and I agree with you that education is so very important. It is unbelievable the strange ideas that some people have about epilepsy. Even many law enforcement people haven't been taught how to handle the situation. Thanks for helping to teach people about it.
I am glad I watched this. Why my doctors havent ever suggested to wear such identification is beyond me. I have had many problems scaring people who had no clue what was going on or what to do. Thanks this will better my life.
Also, you are right to point out that after the seizure it over, it could take up to 20 minutes for the post seizure part to be over and for the person to have complete awareness again. During this time, their vital functions are returning to normal.
Good Video! My son wears his Medic Alert Necklace at all times. He never takes it off. Turning the person on their side is the most important thing next to protecting their head.
A year ago, after my mom thought the seizure was over, she wanted to help me get up and go lay on the bed (to be comfortable... cuz i was on the floor) and because I wasn't fully conscious, I thought it was a guy who wanted to rape me :-| ... I remember being terrified and pushing her away... It was an awful feeling.
