  • @arsenaly9 @arsenaly9 Hey Aresnal - Use this as your finisher. Add a shoulder press before you finish with this exercise - Barbell Military Press, Dumbbell Shoulder Press or Smith Machine Press for example then end with this exercise. Obviously you NEVER want to over-work or over train the shoulders (shoulders are used in so many exercises that once they are injured you will be on the shelf for a while) but want to make sure you hit all heads and keep them strong.   • No, you shoulder is basically your deltoids ... Not only did this video show you how to target all 3 sides of the deltoid, but he also showed you how to hit some of the top of your shoulder. The movements he showed you also target a bit of the top of you shoulder as well as your delts!

    Funk demo Crazy 28's for shoulders

    7 reps - side lateral raises 7 reps - front raises 7 reps - upright rows 7 reps - bent over rows

    You can do 2-3 full sets

    Also do this workout 1x per week at the end of your shoulder workout (after you have done shoulder press exercises) - Hope that helps and don't forget to download you free bodyweight workout program - Funk Roberts

  • @benergyt Hey Benergy T, the answer is yes. Because this is a giant set, with no rest in between exercises you should use the same weight. You can always start light with the first set and gauge your results from there (either by lowering the weight or increasing it) ...I would start with 5lbs, ensure you roll the shoulders back (scapular retraction) and good form. Then start to increase the weight. I guarantee, you will feel and crazy burn and see results within 4 weeks - Funk Roberts

  • What is that; a finishing routine? I bet YOU didn't build your delts like that... That's good for shaping and refining muscle bellies. But, for mass, you gotta go with "bread and butter" basics; millitary press, barbell upright row and barbell or dumbell shrugs...

  • @BigBlue0002 - Hey Big Blue, I couldn't agree with you more...I always started with Dumbbell Press, Military Press, Kettlebell Press, Alternate Dumbbell Press (no upright rows for me as I had rotator cuff problems) and dumbbell shrugs are more for the traps, but start with the Heavy Shoulder exercise (usually one) then use this as the finisher and I guarantee you will see and feel the results - Funk

  • I started this programme and as recommended, I began with light weights and I noticed a great improvement in shape and strength.

    Alas, I fell off a ladder about two months ago and fractured my shoulder socket requiring surgery.

    I am convinced that this programme help prevent further damage. Foolishly I carried on working, which didn't help the fracture only because the other muscles were over-compensating.

    what i do for rugby is MPress 4 Sets 4 to 9 Reps i do the Same for Seated M Press " Note that this is my Heavy workout" once done then i do the Crazy Funk ! shuch a Cool killer end work out ! Trust me you will feel like someone has just stuck a knife in your Shoulders it's a top class workout after an Heavy Workout !

  • @cocoisthe1 Hey Coco - Thanks a million for the props. This was shot a few years back and I still use this in my training. It's a staple in my shoulder workouts, my Muay Thai training and when training MMA athletes. I do seated dumbbell presses ( I like standing better though) or military press - great strength and power exercise. Then after I will do the Funk 28's starting with 15lbs weight. No need to go heavy and rest about 90 sec in between sets..check out my vids - SUBSCRIBE

  • @PRODIGALSUN2050 I suggest you do 90 seconds rest when doing this workout. You want almost full recovery but you don't want to rest too long. Remember roll your shoulders back and use light weights 15lbs to start - Funk Roberts

    my right shoulder is a little bigger than my left but if i do these shoulder excercises in your video will my left eventually just get to the same as my right? and how long does it take to see a differance? Thank you very much for your help

  • Save the up right rows for last and on the last rep clean them up into a shoulder press and just go ahead and knock seven of those out too... that's what I did and it works out pretty damn well.

  • @TheGLNC Yes you can...just make sure that you roll your shoulders back as you are lifting - SCAPULAR RETRACTION. By doing this, you will target the muscles even more...you will not have to lift very heavy at all..cheers - Funk Roberts

  • @TheDannyBChannel Hey Danny B..rest about 60 seconds between sets and do this workout once a week, at the end of your shoulder presses. It is much better to get the heavy presses out first (when you have the most strength and energy), then finish with this exercise. - Funk Roberts

  • It's a good rotation. I do the same program as Terry Crews (well less weight) which is 4 sets of 6 reps with barbell and no rest in between each exercise; Upright Rows - Clean and Press - Bentover Rows - Jump Squats.

    4 sets of 10 reps with dumbbells and no rest in between each exercise: Front Raise - Arnold Press - Lateral Raise - Bentover Reverse Fly.

    This is killer and works like a charm!

  • @marcroops Hey man I checked out your page and your from the T-Dot :) me too. I actually jog over to high Park to do pullups, muscle-ups and levers there. And I go to playgrounds to do things like rope climbing but with the pole. Your page looks really good, and damn man for 42 you look amazing, better than some 20 year olds I know, even the ones that are professional athletes.

  • @marcroops Since you live/lived here any good playgrounds, that you can do pretty much everything on, and any other locations that have pullup bars that are reasonably high off the ground, the only one I know of is High Park.

  • @JayAdamsHCW - Doing the shoulder presses is NOT too much..in fact I suggest you do wither DUMBBELL PRESS or MILITARY PRESS and finish with this exercise to totally destroy the shoulders (in a great way) remember NOT TOO heavy on the Crazy 28's and keep the shoulders back (SCAPULAR RETRACTION) - you will target the shoulders more and will train your body shoulders to always be back and upright - making you look bigger - YOU DO NOT WANT THOSE ROUNDED, SLOUTCHIE (is that a word) shoulders - Funk

  • Hi. I need to ask a question: When I do the side lateral raise for my mid deltoids, I felt pain and there's this clicking sound like it's my bone hitting another bone or I don't know what. I do everything perfectly. Low weights with slow and steady movements. No sudden jerking motions or wrong moves. Do u know what's wrong??

  • @nitehunt3r i used to get that too. make sure you stretch by making small circles with your arms. when you do these make sure your shoulder blades are pinched or else you'll end up doing a bunny hop to get the weights up then the stress on the way down makes the clicking noise

  • @leez415 LEEZ - no worries, just keep the shoulders rolled back and use light weight, feel the shoulder muscle moving the weight, do not use the body to swing the weight up and you willbe fine...I have never had anyone, NOT MAKE GAINS, using this exercise. IT"S AMAZING!!! - P.S. - I love when other people stare at me...it's not that they think you are doing it wrong...it's envy that you are doing an AWESOME exercise they aren't doing and they want to see how you are doing it...

  • damn im only 14 but i workout every other day and i have everything except shoulders until now ive been doing this for a couple weeks now and i have huge shoulders now! i would recomend this to anyone!

  • great workout to achieve a nice burn/pump at the end of your workout (after im done all my presses and shrugs) i would however suggest to anyone out there to make sure you go light on the upright rows, fantastic way to injure the back of your neck if your tired and going too heavy. BUT it is a great way to add nice separation... just be careful! you the man Funk

  • Hey man, not hating good physique, your workout seems to do the job well but as far as fighting goes I would suggest full body, explosive lifts like power cleans, clean and jeck, snatch(this one I find difficult to do with good form but if you can doi well kudos!) and other explosive movements. Also I find doing explosive sets of deadlifts(maybe 4 sets of 6) help. I box, and since I incorporated these lifts I've improve my agility, speed and power. Avoid isolation! Good luck!

  • @everynameseemstobe rear delts tend be trained less so they're generally weaker, i train mine with bent over raises and rows but they still a bit weaker than my middle or front delts, they're generally just harder o hit
