  • lmao u guys are such a funny couple

  • @clarita311 I think that's a most in every part of Mexico lol

  • "does it feel nice in your hands?"..."yeah" LMAO

  • what i did ..i boil the stripe until tender and then i soaked the stripe with 2 tbsp. bleach for 5 minutes and rinse it like 5 times...the stripe will be white and clean no more odor.

  • The whiter any tripe the less it smells. The other tripe that stunk is what my mom calls la bansa (the stomach). Im making menudo 4 nu years. I saw @ the veitnam store really white tripe. gonna use both but Im gonna clean it w/ a large bottle of straight vinegar. good honey comb isnt as bad smelling as bansa. when u clean the bansa w/ vinegar it fizzes like wen u put hydrogen peroxide on a cut. lemon dosnt work as well as vinegar but using limes is useless. thats y it smelled so bad last time.

  • Try using pigs feet instead of cows feet.

  • theres hair

  • you two look so happy making this menudo, usually in a mexican kitchen someone is getting yelled at or slapped

  • Don't they seem like the perfect couple Thanks 4 posting!

  • I absolutely love tripe.

  • Im from northern mexico and hominy and onion is a MUST!!! dont forget to squeeze some lime in when you add your final dressings :) YUMMY!

  • wow i wish i was back in Texas where i could go to HEB and find all these things to make menudo its pretty hard to find every thing here in Canada

  • I had that same blasted juicer...until it broke!

  • I notice you were saying "the other tripe" and almost puked. Are you sure you didn't use "tripitas"? Which are cow intestines. Those aren't used for menudo; however, were im from in Texas we love tripitas. We boil them once, change the water, and boil them again until they are really clean. Then cut them into small pieces and fry them. Once cooked put them in a warmed corn tortilla with chile de arbol salsa, cilantro, raw onion and a squeeze of lime. Enjoy :p

  • the first time i ordered it i was expecting meat but it was all tripe. luckily i knew what tripe was and didn't freak out.

  • A cow has 4 stomachs if I remember correctly.

    Two more stomachs to try.

  • looks like alot of work but would be fun to try on a rainy day. i heard of people soaking the tripe in milk for an hour too.

  • haha i hear the horror stories about the smell of bad tripe, ill leave it to the pros at my local mexican drive thru for mine for now.

  • You should use chile guajillo. Leave out the hominy and onion. That is for pozole..

  • @pumpkinhead1020 Like most dishes, there are a lot of different regional variations of Menudo, in Northern Mexico hominy is often added. if everybody used the exact same recipe for ever dish, food would be very boring :)

  • @pumpkinhead1020 your trippin fool! hominy and onion is not just for pozole!

  • Thanks ..natural food .

  • the end result looks realy yummy ...

  • Beef tripe can be put in a crockpot and cooked until it gets so tender the fork goes right through it. Then you batter and fry it. Soul food...

  • I'm from Laredo and in my family we typically eat menudo during the holidays. However, we never add cow's feet. Actually I'm not 100 % sure but I hope not LOL.

  • you can fry that up and put it in a taco and it taste bomb

  • this stuff is good, with a lil onion and some lime juice....and you got 1 hell of a cure for a hangover...

  • everything looks good but please dont ruin it dont add homminy menudo does not go with homminy pozole does when i go to a restaurant and they serve me menudo with homminy I almost have a heart attack

  • "These are shitty lime squeezers" :D

  • I've heard my Latina friends talking about this and it doesn't look bad! What is the texture of the tripe after it's cooked? I don't think I'm brave enough to make this for myself, but would like to try a bowel of it. I'm going to make beef tongue though. I really enjoy your channel and think you're a sweet couple! Take care!

  • Thanks! It cooks for around 3hrs, so the tripe is actually pretty nice and tender by then.

  • @foodtease

I tried it but didn't like it in California. I know it cant be bad but I guess I need to find a place that cooks it better. I want to eat it cause I LOVE chitterlings! XD

  • @foodtease this stuff is good.put some onion and some lime juice, and you got 1 hell of a cure for a hangover

  • I enjoy watching your videos, but you need to stop cursing in your videos. I don't even hear the husband curse, but just the woman.

  • Haha, sorry but we just talk how we normally talk in our videos, so the odd curse will come out now and then. But I'm pretty sure there wasn't even one curse word in this particular video though.

  • @foodtease Although cursing doesn't bother me, I did hear something about a "shitty lime squeezer." HA!

  • @foodtease There is a curse cast upon the juicing tool.
