why would insurance not pay for it if it wasn't pre-existing condition? That just tells me that your insurance company's must not operate with the same standards that ours do. If one of ours refused to pay for something if it was within the bounds of the policy and if it wasn't a pre existing condition, they would get shut down by the state.
