@hyperSonicVIP I think it was inspired by Terminator. In Contra 4 it's even more obvious - during the battle this boss crawls towards you in the corridor, reminding about the scene at the end of the first movie.

Everything that inspired the Contra games (cyborgs and aliens and whatnot) was fought by Michael Biehn who, himself, was the basis for Solid Snake.
