  • Band had only one single, but Wray went on that year to issue Bad Women by the Fallen Angels, Later produced Dean Brothers, Cross Creek , David "Rock" Feinstein, Nanci Hammond, Alligators, Livin Ennd, Sandy Bigtree Band, and 40 years of the History of Syracuse Music Album series

  • Serious Fuzz

  • Ha Ha! Nice try Ron ;)

  • 13 year old girl and I LOVE stuff like this. Psychedelic, y'know? Everyone thinks it's WAY weird but I tell them that's because the band was on LSD... then I have to explain what that is... sucks for my generation, they can't like the good stuff like this. Oh well. At least I can be different and not like the pop crap just because everyone else does. By the way, have any 13th Floor Elevator tracks?

  • Ah man, this song has me grooving!!!!

  • Speed meaning a slang for crystal meth in case in case you didn't know.

  • "The World Famous RON WRAY LIGHT SHOW" is the artist shown, backed with instrumental by HEADSTONE II. Ron Wray is actually Ron Gersbacher. He, along with Don Bombard and the band, wrote the "piece". Bombard designed the label (PIECE), which was later changed to ECEIP because of inuendo associated with the former. Bombard was then a DJ on WOLF and performed on the other side, "Satisfaction Is Guaranteed". Bombard now uses the name "Bob Shannon" on WCBS-FM in NYC.

  • I think the 45 actually listed "HEADSTONE II" as the artist. Out of Syracuse NY. Crazy, cool stuff!! Web search Syracuse NY Music History.

  • The artist is listed as "The World Famous RON WRAY LIGHT SHOW"; "Instrumental by HEADSTONE II"

It was produced by Ron Wray and Don Bombard.

  • Hello. Do you have any more info about this band, Ron Wray Light Show? Couldn't find any anywhere. Whats the song on the other side of this single like? Do they have a full length album? Any more songs like this? Any word about them highly appreciated!

  • Cant post URLs but if you put this "kohntarkosz livejournal 264609 speed" in to google you will find more info in 3rd result

  • Ron Wray was really Ron Gersbacher. The credit read "The World Famous RON WRAY LIGHT SHOW" shared with "Intrumental by HEADSTONE II", a local band. "Speed" was written by Headstone II, Ron, and Don Bombard. Bombard designed the label himself (PIECE). It was later changed to ECEIP when it drew negative criticism behind it's meaning. Bombard at the time was a DJ on WOLF in Syracuse. Today (since 1986), he is known as "Bob Shannon" (WCBS-FM in NYC) and WLNG on Long Island.
