My daughter and I hunted out Huddie Leadbetter's grave back in the 1990's, it was a strange experience to say the least.
The surrounding area had a 'Deliverance' feeling to it. There were many other Leadbetter graves in the cemetery, many with homemade markers and strange misspellings on them. It was an experience we'll never forget.
wow...there's something extremely powerful about seeing his grave listening to his song while the sun is shining through the trees like that...incredible video, excellent work.
Excellent video.Thank you for making it and posting it for us to see.A truly great song by a greatly influential and talented bluesman. His spirit lives on today and will for generations to come.thanks again.

A fitting and well filmed tribute to a pioneering legend of blues. The anticipation
builds leading up to the shot of his marker.
The shot of the statue in town and the church somehow add depth to the experience.
Many many thanks for sharing this video. A+

'Black Gal.' A song even older than Leadbelly...and what an amazing performance of it. Haunting.
