The BDA FOUND AKs and RPGs. But I will play: The apache shot the enemy combatants with an M230 autocannon. Maximum range 4.5 km, effective range 1.5km. So we can safely conclude the heli was less than 4.5km from the targets.
The weapon the men had hidden in the field could have easily been a manpads. The SA7 has a range of 4.2 km, the Stinger 4.8 km,
So it is entirely reasonable that they COULD have had a weapon capable of downing the heli.

You are watching an Ah-64 Apache using his Infrared camera set at white=hot, meaning all that is dark and all gradually lighter to bright is cold to hot.
what you have here is an Apache at night at 1/2 mile away looking at something hot and people running around it. The object sticking up in the air is white hot, and has fired at other helis (oops they didn't mention that, did they?). It is a crew-served Anti-Aircraft gun, the crew is in the act of removing it, and the Apache ate them up.

Why would a farmer but out in the middle of the night ploughing??You only see 3min 50 secs of the vid here,the chopper could have been following these individuals for some time,watching them plant weapons etc...And is a insurgent physically incapable of weaving a flag or to wear a shoe or to kiss another man on the cheek?I dont think so.Dont belive everything you see on the internet without knowing all the facts first.

If you watch the whole Dept of Defense video, you CLEARLY see them hiding AK-47's and IED's during the 20-minute long version. They had just attacked an armored convoy near Basra, Iraq and the Apache's came in and cleaned house. No farmers here.

BS - he is pulling a sleeve off of something - this vid is modified from the original - watch the original. He also scorns 30mm rounds??? Does it really matter????
