I am drooling! Drooling in my eyes too! Miss my homeland and food from the bottom of my heart!!! Love you, dude! Superb! Thanks! May I know those song titles.
Does anybody have any idea about songs in this clip? Is the first one by Saung Oo Hlaing? I don't have any idea about those song titles! Please help me. Thanks again!
Stunning place...the way the counties food that you visit seem to blend from one to another is very interesting lots of similarities and differences between Thai and Laos cusine. Another country on my list...is it a simple stamp and over the border from Thailand or a seperate application for a visa ?
@sugreev2001 Not really sure of the current situation, but when I was in Yangon I walked all over the place without any problems. Had an amazing time!
I was just in Burma and love the country, culture and especially the people. Tried some of the street food but unfortunately my travel companions were paranoid about getting sick. I never did, and they missed out on an integral part of true travel.
@garretsanchez Thanks for sharing... The street food in Burma is such a great way to meet locals and taste of the best food. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
It seemed like you were having the best food of your life just by the look on your face @ 1:02. I'm from Burma as well but I've been in the States for a while and I start to miss all Burmese food by looking at you eat.

@hoohoohooful it's je zu tin Ba deh when it is spoken but when it isn't spoken and you type in burglish for someone to understand that you can speak Burmese but can't use Myanmar font then in burglish you type it like Ke zu tin par Tal. I know it's like that because I'm studying Burmese.

Hey man I watched your videos and you did a great job! I'm going back in FEB 2012, I haven't been there since I was born in Rangoon in 1979. came to Australia in 1980. The country seems so foreign to me yet still has a sense of home. I hope to a similar doco like you did and post it on you tube. thanks for the inspiration!
Really cool video haha made me miss home like crazy :) Did you have suggestion of food that people told you to try or were you just trying random interesting things on the street?
@xelfeyesx Thanks for watching! Actually I had read about mohinga before visiting, and I know a bit about Indian food (dosa and thali), but other than that I just explored!
as you are a foreigner, i am surprised that your stomach didn't get upset from all those spicy and relatively unhygienic food. but good job, i like most of the food you ate as well. :)
@hillymilly15 Thanks a lot for watching! Yah, I eat a lot of street food, and I grew up mostly in Africa, so my stomach is more used to spicy and street food style meals!
@WWA1311 I honestly loved it - and I didn't have any stomach problems while in Burma...! I grew up in Africa eating a lot of street food, so my stomach is probably better accustomed than a lot of other foreigners...

Hi Mark. Brilliant clip. Also agree with Koyin above that you obviously have the right attitude and respect for the culture you are being introduced to. My wife and I are going to Myanmar in 2 weeks. I amd staying for 3 weeks. She is staying for 2 years! She has eaten dancing shrimp in Thailand. I see you have a clip of a similar dish in Myanmar. She is interested in knowing where you had the fried fish. She will be teaching in Yangon. Thanks once again.
@banfielddavid Hi David, Thanks so much for watching the video!
That's awesome that you are taking a trip to Myanmar soon, I really enjoyed my time. Wow - 2 years, that's going to be an incredible experience. The big fish I ate was on one of the main streets in Chinatown, not sure exactly what street, but you'll see the fish from the main road. From that street you walk about 50 meters down the road to the restaurant I ate at. Awesome fish!
Now I miss going back to Myanmar -.- Did you get a chance to travel outside of Yangon and travel up to North?!? If you haven't you should! Is beautiful up there! I grew up in Yangon and this brought me back so much memories, thank you for this wonderful video =]
That was a really great little clip! We don't have good mohinga here in NYC or ginger salad, (forget authentic chickpea and tumeric flavored tofu salad) since there's only one Burmese restaurant, and unless you have a Burmese mom in your pantry, it's such a process to make even the condiment toppings. Thanks for this. This just reminded me I need to visit Burma eventually and that I'm missing out on all that lovely everyday food. I hope you got to try tea leaf salad.
hey Mark...this is great clip and indeed enjoy watching this over and over,of course like your attitude towards different culture and country. What's your back ground btw,i mean your ethnicity if you don't mind answering? coz u look exactly like our people....:)....thanks again for great video.....well done bro!....
