@evesdrop1982 Well, today's Democrats have moved to the right, and hold views similar to Alex back then, while today's Republicans have moved WAY to the right, and hold views similar to Satan.
I used to watch this while on air starting in 1984 at only 4 y.o. with my Mom, Stepdad, and big sister after we had dinner. I missed all the 1980's TV Sitcoms, and TV Action Dramas.
@2112murphy Are you sure it wasn't the other way around?
Reaganomics has crippled the working-class and almost eliminated the middle-class with the exception of upper-middle-class. I suppose trickle-down was meant to be taken literally. The corporations trickle money upon their employees instead of paying them a living wage. But wait, there's more. Reagan also made sure that corporations would be above the law and could pay scab wages thanks to deregulation.
So that's where I learned to say "Don't humour me" when I was a little kid.. I'd forgotten it long ago but now I realize i knew all these episodes off by heart.
Boy this episode was funny. Alex, an avowed Republican, framed pic of Nixon next to his bed, wanting to uncover a scandal via newspaper. HA! Also, the idea of the media today trying to uncover true corruption? TOTALLY LAUGHABLE!!!
God, how i miss these great TV shows! Hollywood, ya listening or read this? THIS is TV, not that crap you've got now days, sheesh! That guy at the beginning with the glasses on sitting next to Mallory, he played in a Knight Rider episode. I remember him, he was the one with the r/c car & KITT turned it on to give morse code. The episode where his & Bonnie's plane gets hi-jacked.
is that kid who works for the principal and sells the info bill hicks?
