@Pavel284 Even though pike can grow farely large muskie are bigger. A Muskie is stripped while the pike is spotted, and muskie is useaully silver with organish fins while the pike is a greensih black colour or brownish. Hope that helped

@Pavel284 easiest way to tell them apart: pike have light colored spots on a dark body, muskie MAY have dark (orange-brown-ish) colored bars on a light body. some muskie are silver in color.

muskie grow larger than pike

the two can actually reproduce...the result is called a tiger muskie. tiger muskies don't grow as big as pure bread muskies. Also, tiger muskies can't reproduce - not with a muskie, pike or another tiger muskie...poor little shits lol

One of my friend once caught a pike in the worst possible way... We had been fishing all day and caught nothing and was sailing home... He was just swinging his pole up and down and we were like, stop kidding around... Well after 10 minutes of hammering his blink into the water, this big fat 8kg pike is suddently stuck on it... I never quite find out if he cught the fish on the blink or if the fish bit the bait? Anyway... We didn't talk to the a-hole for the rest of the day

We have big bass in Canada in places where it gets to -40 Celsius in the winter. The reason britts don't have bass is because the fish have no way of getting over there. Bass are native to North America. Its not because its too cold for them. Fish can stand ridiculously cold temperatures because they are cold blooded. Learn your shit before you comment dumbass. A large snapping turtle did that to my 27" northern on a stringer.  The turtle did not want to let go. The stringer broke open when I pulled on it. I fought for the fish by thumping his shell. On dressing the fish, I noticed the liver was crushed. That explained the fish not escaping after the turtle let go of it.
