Jerry Reed was a true master of the guitar, and it doesn't get people pumped just because of the technique. What about the energy of the piece? What about GARETH's energy? That was straight up entertainment, not to mention a fine performance.

its just the same music that's been done a thousand times before, but a with more notes per bar and faster. His tone settings on amp are quite franky ugly. And can you hear a note that rings longer than a quarter note? Its all the same crap over and over, there is no variety. Its just not pleasing to the ear that's all. Its the kind of music that gets people pumped because its technically impressive, nothing more. Thank you and goodnight x

Its hard to play at that level of expertise on an acoustic including articulate banjo rolls, alternate picking while keeping melody and timing.

Obviously he hasn't slept many nights at all because no one jumps out at birth and goes mommy mommy I can play Jerry Reed at warp speed without sounding like a hack lol.

Gareth's extremely technically inclined for his age.

He is a very talented players with massive technical chops but though this has its place I would realy like him to slow down the speed and treat us to some really nice melodic stuff with real feeling. Speed delights briefly but emotive playing satisfies longer.

Wonderful and awful all in one tune. Great tune, awesome technique but an absolute bastardisation of Jerry's tune in the style of Tommy E's rocket speed picking addiction. I am no traditionalist but Jerry's and Chet's versions are unsurpassable for feel and taste. To reword a well known saying "Less haste, less speed ,more taste". Mind you for a bastardisation it was great just the same and if I had that technique I might just have done the same thing for fun but sadly I haven't.
