  • I found your vid while researching info on PAC's and PVC's. I have them too! And I agree about the vicious cycle of stress, panic and the c's. I'm not sure which comes first. I had over 5080 in on day. I have these all day long some days. It wakes me up from a sound sleep...absolutely horrible. I also have a Thyroid condition, which was diagnosed 8 months ago. Have any of you been checked for Thyroid issues? I'm curious...I've heard thyroid can cause these heart problems. T3/T4 test.

  • @paizley11 : Also, an FYI, Thyroid, and any endocrine disorder can cause panic, mood swings and all out crazy feeling besides causing heart symptoms. I just want to suggest that anyone suddenly developing these problems consider having the endocrine system checked as well.

  • a lot better, I am still waking up with a racing heart (before I take my morning medication) and have a very sore chest. This is frustrating. It feels like something isn't right, yet they continue to tell me that it is all caused from anxiety. I am going to see my regular doctor again today to get her opinion, but I think they may end up finding something with my heart because of how suddenly my symptoms came on with no apparent trigger. It's nice to not feel so alone.

  • I don't really have any insight to offer. Just wanted to say I feel your pain. I've had these off and on for about 3 years. They suck and really scare me. I think the most important thing to know is that they're not life threatening. You're not going to die. Just accept them and try not to concentrate on them too much.

    Good luck! :)

  • Did they rule out WPW Syndrome for you? thx. -Jay

  • Hey I am sorry you deal with these! I also deal with the same stuff, in fact I had a bad episode while I was driving. I got hit in a matter of seconds with a major racing pulse, shortness of breath, cold sensation traveling through my body etc. I had to call 911 and long story short they saw sinus tachy in the ER. I had a holter done and it didn't show anything. But lately if I don't watch what I eat it goes through the roof.

  • Bit of a late reply, but I've felt these for a few years now. probably 5 or 6. I'm probably about as lucky as you can be with regards to how often it happens. Sometimes I'll go weeks, maybe even a month or two, without feeling one. There have been a few occasions where I've felt several in a day, usually when I've been stressed or sick or something like that. I've learned to pretty much ignore them, but I agree about people who have thousands a day. That must be a living hell.

  • Everything you are saying is exactly what happens to me!! watching this video was almost a breath of fresh air knowing I am not alone!! Yes I have PVC's PAC's and an abnormal sinus rhythm. I feel each and every abnormal beat and my anxiety and panic kick in and it starts the vicious cycle that is really hard to break.

  • My cardio will see me again next month for testing. does not believe there is a problem, however, my pcp and rheum keep notating their concern over the issue. cardio will do a stress test and a event monitor and i am sure then he will see that i have a tachycardia and not just panic disorder

  • i'm have hyperthyrodism 2y/o ago..and i just fing out that i have also a sinus tachycardia and my left artial enlarge..its sucks...i hate it so much...

  • The sad part is that I'm a professional performer so no matter how well I'm able to "deal" with the panic, these episodes are simply too much to go through in front of a live audience. If they start coming on strong they won't usually stop for a good 20 min and then for the rest of the day/night it feels like the symptoms can return at any minute. So now I'm either going to have to stop performing live music or at least keep my performances short enough so that I don't have the PVCs on stage.

  • I have the same issues as you do and have had them since I was in my 20s, I'm now 53. I was treated with clonazapam and Prozac. I don't use caffeine or any substances that are stimulating. Even dark chocolate can effect it. : ( I think drugs like beta blockers can indeed work, but the anxiety and anticipatory anxiety can be exhausting. You may want to find a psychiatrist who specializes in this and talk about antidepressan therapy. It can work VERY well and give you your life back.

  • Do you ever get bigeminy? I get PVC's too, every day, and always feel them! Have had them for years now. They come and go at will. I get a feeling like a fullness in my throat to go with it too. I also did the monitor. Do you get them every day? Nothing seems to make them better until they subside. Oh yeah, have done the panic thing many times myself. Not great. How are you feeling lately, this video is a little old I know.

  • @zapatista3 I wasn't sure what bigeminy was, but yes I think I have had that. I get the pac's/pvc's almost everyday, make me go into complete panic mode. I wish there was something to get rid of them & to live normally. I still feel pretty much the same as when I made this video. Thanks for commenting.

  • I have panic disorder too and its horrible. I hate sleeping at night, it seems to come on worse around 1-2am. My bp 215/103 180bpm it is crazy terror and I usually have to throw myself in the shower to prevent passing out. I have rapid breathing and have a hard time functioning. Like you said y our panic makes the heart worse. I'm on beta blockers too to keep my heart beat regular. I feel your pain. please email me sheryl808@live.com

  • I'm a 20 year old male that started having pvcs after I became allergic to caffeine.. I get many every minute everyday.. It does happen more when I think about my heart. It used to make me anxious, but now I'm convinced it's not going to kill me so I don't worry anymore.

  • Wow, just seeing others talk about this is relieving. 46 year old male, have had PVC's for a year or so. Don't feel left out in the cold, I also feel every single one. Some days just one, some days several in a row, some days none. It's maddening. While the MD's will tell us it's not life threatening, it IS life altering. On 50mg Toprol to stop the panic attacks, which it did, but not the contractions. I quit smoking due to this myself, as lighting up would sometimes send my hr into orbit.

  • I am 36 (female) and have PVC's, PAC's, Sinus Tachycardia and possibly SVT. Have had these issues since I was about 14! Have seen many doctors. My latest is a VERY good electrophysiologist and he has really helped to ease my mind! If your echo is normal...you are OK...! I know it's hard to believe... but try to relax...also, I find exercise helps. :)

  • so i feel your pain!! just try to relax. do yoga and meditation. make sure u are getting plenty of sleep and drinking plenty of water. maintain a healthy lifestyle and exercise often. your heart, even tho it beats weird, needs exercise! i have these beats way worse than you but ive been assured by some of the best electrophysiologists that the arrhythmias are simply harmless if the heart is structurally sound! hang in there!

  • my heart is structurally ok but my cardiologist believes that there is a group of cells causing my heart to beat irregularly. i have also had an EP study done by by an electrophysiologist. he was unable to induce an arrhythmia and said i would have to learn to deal with my irregular beats as he and many others believed they are harmless. ive been given propranolol to take as needed up to 4 20 mg tablets per day. doesn't work.

  • i have PACs and PVCs everyday. 100s to 1000s. extremely unsettling at times. they seem to get worse over the years since i was first diagnosed with them in 2006. i have had virtually every major cardiac test done (chest xray, EKG, holter monitor, echocardiogram, stress test, etc). all NORMAL.

  • @vthuntress Hi there, I take Atenolol, 50mg once a day. I was taking it twice a day, but it seemed to drop my heart rate too low when I was resting. I don't know if it's because I'm losing weight & getting in better shape, I guess maybe it could be. I usually take the beta blocker when I wake up in the morning and it seems like I have to wait an hour or so for it to "kick in", otherwise my heart just feels weird & like it's racing.

  • @hope4anxiety I understand exactly what your going through.. I`m a man in my 30`s and one morning about 5 years ago I was just lying in bed after waking from a good nights sleep. All of a sudden without any warning my heart started going crazy. It was pausing after every 5th beat and then would jump start again and do the same over and over for the next 2 hours.. I thought I was going to die. Went to my Doctor, He said it`s nothing to worry about,, But it continues to bother me until this day

  • I swear I could have made this exact video. I have only had them for a year and a half...got my first one at 9 weeks pregnant and they've just never gone away completely. I've had bloodwork, 2 ekg's, chest x-ray, 24-hr. monitor, stress test and an echo. All results are normal but I still get the PVC's. It sucks! I agree, a PVC will make me panic which will make me have more. I have a hard time falling asleep sometimes because I'm so focused on my heartbeat and if I feel a skip, I freak out

  • i feel ya.. my panic when the pvcs happen to me go straight to a 10...please tell me how you deal with it... I keep waiting for the next skip.. and like think they next skip will be the end of me! HELP!

  • Oh wow, I just heard you say you get one a day. That would be a fabulous day for me! Try not to panic, I am sure you are okay. Normal people get more than one a day, they just do not notice them....

  • I am like you and feel every one. I get bouts of 3-5 days worth of nothing but PVC's, about 1-12 a minute. It is something that I have never gotten used to. Go through the tests, make sure it is nothing structural. If you are okay there, try to take your mind off of it. Also, if you have GERD/reflux that can affect the vagus nerve and I notice a correlation (I have silent GERD.) Good luck.
