Much less likely to get picked off by a shark, but more important, you could build them with more cover over where the passenger sits, make it a bit like a personal sub. Thanks to buoyancy you could even add another battery and/or a bigger air tank, and have more time underwater too. Make initial dives in say.. jellyfish or shark infested waters a lot safer. :D

Text in video is INCORRECT when it indicates "oxygen" is pumped into helmet. It's not oxygen, it's just air. Air is actually made up of nearly 80% nitrogen and 20% other gases like CO2 and O2 and others.

All underwater vehicles are electric. They have to be. Internal combustion engines need air intake to work. Every submarine in the world is either battery electric or nuclear electric.

I don't really know why. I suppose it would be nice if they would offer a premium model with lithium batteries so you could go faster/further. But the heavy lead acid battery it uses now helps keep it neutrally buoyant. If they used lighter batteries I think they would have to add lead weights somewhere in the design...

I'm sure the air is delivered to the helmet at the atmospheric pressure of the depth it is at. That's the only way to do it. Water will not flow up into the helmet just as you can hold a bucket upside down filled with air underwater.

No, you couldn't. Water is 800 times as dense as air and you can't go very fast underwater without burning a ton of energy and sucking your air supply gone.
