The owner needs to go to jail and all his assets confiscated and put up for sale. Proceeds to go to mass campaign and other similar rescues. Absolutely should he not walk out free!

I just adopted from a local shelter a Puppy mill Rescue. 6 years in a mill & one year in a shelter. We have some health problems & we are scared of the grass. But we know we are loved, we are safe & warm, we are fed & clean & someone pays our doctor bills !! Yeppers ! Puppy Mills Need to Be Stopped ! PLEASE DO NOT SHOP... Please Adopt !

some puppy mills are outlawed in certian states, but the ones found in a backyard are harder to investigate and to report because the lae states it has to be "commercial".

I met a puppy mill dog (a former one) that was soooo scared and sad... it had never been in a family before, and he has now adjusted to his new life and is happy. NICE JOB HSUS!
