not unecessary as far as im concerned the bloc should be in the fedreal goverment at all, there not a fedreal party there a provincal party, and they only care about quebec and seperating. As far as harpers coalition goes, i was agianst that one as well.

The Bloc is not offically part of the coalition, thus having to pass anything you must have the agreement of them, and they can back out at any time, were with the other 2 partys everthing dion would have wanted the ndp would have had to vote in favor for it, weather they aproved of it or not, unlike the bloc.

The Bloc has agreed to allow the coalition to operate for 18 months. They do not have any members in the coalition cabinet. As far as the NDP having to vote with the Liberals, it sounds like you have a very misconstrued concept of a coalition government. Everyone has to agree, much like a minority government, in order for something to pass. A coalition means collaboration to find solutions that work for everyone. Stop this unnecessary Bloc hysteria.

In a coalition the balance lies with each of the parties. If one backs out, the whole thing falls apart. It doesn't matter if it's the Bloc or the NDP, a coalition needs the sum of all the participating parties' seats, stoop.
