man I don't know turbo's but that thing sounds weak to me and that oil comming out means bad news..time for a new turbo??time for a cummins?? and oh yeah don't tell BP you spilled oil they may taget you for your oil spill lol

That vacuum pump sounds the exact same as mine when the front bearing blew apart but somehow the shaft on pulley never came out

hey corvairwild! when the wastegate linkage is towards the grille of the truck the wastegate is closed. my vacuum pump is shot but the wastegate would stay closed if u closed it unless i hit over 1800 rpm. so i rigged it up and wired it shut now i get all kinds of boost. before that it almost sounded like a 6.2 ;p

I'm getting blue smoke on my Tdi, will I see anything externally if the turbo is bad? Will a stream of oil in the intake indicate failed oil seals? The oil is of unknown age but if it's still smoking after I change it then it could be turbo related.

Why is oil comming out the front tubo connection?I would think that is a bad thing like a failing or failed seal.You will never get bored with all the toys or teeruks you have.

Still no boost? check for holes in the intercooler...and i run full synthetic oil as well this reduces friction in the turbo bearing allowing quicker spool up , it gave me at least three more pounds boost.....CRANK HER UP!!!!!!!!!!!
