  • It is very inspiring and empowering to see the establishment of another Dorje Shugden Monastery. The motivation of Amarbayasgalant, to 1) protect and uphold pure Dharma education of the Sangha community and 2) contribute to unfortunate members of society through charity work, is an accurate representation of Buddhadharma. The sincere efforts to practice Dharma to benefit sentient beings will cause the re-establishment of faith among all practitioners and non-practitioners in Dharma.

  • How can DS practice harm the Tibetan cause and be banned by the TGIE but practiced in Mongolia. Mongolians and Tibetans are both Dharma Practitioners of the Nalanda Tradition. DS is not harmful at all since H.H. 5th Dalai Lama practiced Shugden and he spread it to the Mongolia. If HHDL 14th should not ban Shugden to Tibetans as it is that even Mongolia practices Shugden.

  • Due to the kindness of Gyalwa Sonam Gyatso or the third Dalai Lama that Mongolia became Buddhist. Ever since, they have been great practitioners of Lama Tsongkhapa. Many of them practices Dorje Shugden as well.

  • It is also very powerful that Kache Marpo, DS's chief minister who often comes in trance through oracles, is also an enlightened Dharma protector in his own right.

We can 100% safely and confidently take refuge in DS and his whole entourage as they are all emanations of the enlightened mind.

DS himself is an incarnation of a long life of highly attained lamas - so he has a special function of being both Dharma protector AND Lama who can teach us dharma

  • thank you for sharing information with us closerelative. I also heard that something unusual and special about Dorje Shugden is that the 5 forms of DS and the whole 32-deity entourage are all emanations of Dorje Shugden himself, who is also one with Manjushri and Je Tsongkhapa.

So when we propitiate Dorje Shugden or ANY of his entourage, we propitiate Manjushri directly

  • Dorje Shugden has five emanation and his primary emanation riding on a snowlion is Dulzin Dorje Shugden while his 4 other emanations are Gyenze Shugden for increase, Shize Shugden for Pacification, Wangse Shugden for Control and Trakse Shugden for Wrathful.

  • What a beautiful monastery! I love it and the DS altar was beautiful too. Guru Deva Rinpoche performed amazing deeds with his wealth and I heard that he is an emanationn of Gyanze on earth. Wow! Hence, he continually uses his wealth for the Dharma.

  • @closerelative wow - great to hear about Guru Deva Rinpoche as Gyanze. Do you have any other links to this? I'd love to know more... thanks in advance..

  • It's incredible to have the support of the Prime Minister of Mongolia! How wonderful. May this monastery flourish and benefit many.

There has been a new website recently launched which is very informative, serpommonastery(dot)org. It is very inspiring to read about how this monastery started. There are many other sections such as news, monastic programs etc. Do check it out.

  • wow this is fantastic - great to see Dorje Shugden monasteries and temples springing up all over the world. Hehe looks like even with the "ban", it hasn't stopped the growth of DS practice throughout the world - in fact, it looks like it's growing bigger than ever???

  • What an amazing monastery! Thanks for the background info regarding this monastery. I am sure the Tibetan Government are unable to do anything to the Dorje Shugden practitioners there! Hmm Dorje Shugden practitioners are everywhere!

  • Vinayaholder - thanks for the info you posted here re the background of Amarbayasgalant Monastery and the great Master, Guru Deva Rinpoche. It's so inspiring what these beings can achieve in one lifetime. Makes me look back at my life and think what have i achieved and what will i achieve in future.

  • so much effort and work put into this monastery. My humble homage to the venerable Guru Deva Rinpoche. Without your kind compassion, the revival of Buddhism in Mongolia under the tradition of Je Tsongkhapa would have not been fruitful.

Look at the grandeur of the Mig Jed Chenresig. May that statue and Chenresig bless all beings that all may see the Truth of all Enlightened Ones and not be fixated with what they see.

May Dharmapala Dorje Shugden bless the works of this monastery to flourish!

  • In 1991, when Buddhism revived in Mongolia, Guru Deva Rinpoche visited Amarbayasgalant, the Monastery of Undur Gegeen, and decided to restore temples, statues, scriptures, accommodations and education for the benefit of the sentient beings.

Since 1992 he has been accomplishing these activities in a vast and complete manner and has giving the restored facilities to responsible monks and the people of Mongolia. Guru Deva Rinpoche entered clear light in 2009

  • When the Dalai Lama and many other ordained and non-ordained people immigrated to India and Nepal, Guru Deva Rinpoche helped extensively to establish the Palace of the Dalai Lama, the three Great Monastic Universities Sera, Drepung and Gandan as well as many other monasteries, temples and accommodations. A great number of representations of Buddha`s body , speech and mind were established under his guidance.

  • Guru Deva Rinpoche is the founder of Amarbayasgalant. He traveled to the Land of Snow and studied in the great Monastic University of Drepung under Kyabje Phabon Khaba Rinpoche, Kyabje Yongzin Trijang Dorje Chang, Kyabje Yongzin Ling Rinpoche and Kyabje Gonsar Rinpoche and fully acquired the qualities of the Sutras and Tantras.

  • Thank you vinayaholder for the information. It sure save me time from google the info online.

I love TIbetan monasteries very much and I am glad Guru Deva Rinpoche decided to restore such a monastery.

Soryr to hear that such a guru has entered clear light. May he return swiftly to continue His great work. All these great monks from Sera, Drepung and Ganden are doing great works around the world, not only in the monasteries where they reside in.

  • @vinayaholder

    Awesome !!!!!

  • 101st Gaden Tripa has just retired. HH Gaden Trisur Rinpoche (title given after retirement)and his ladrang has left Gaden Shartse Monastery and JOINED SHAR GADEN.

Read it in the forum at dorjeshugden(dot)com

  • wow the Prime Minister of Mongolia attends the opening of this monastery with Dorje Shugden. Lama Guru Deva Rinpoche did a fabulous job to restore the temple. Beautiful statue of Dorje Shugden. One day, there will be huge Dorje Shugden temples all around the world and Prime Ministers and Presidents will grace their ceremonies!

  • The state protector Nechung is unable to help the Dalai Lama gain autonomy or freedom for Tibet.

The Tibetan Govt should invoke the Dorje Shugden protector, apologize and ask his help and seek his advice.

Dorje Shugden is a very powerful being that can be a great ally, friend and help to the Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama needs all the friends he can get both human and non-human.

  • Who's the western Monk in the video?

  • High Lama Mongolian Guru Deva Rinpoche (GDR) was 102 years old when he passed away this month April 2009.

He was a disciple of Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche. GDR sponsored so much money for the restablishment of Drepung Gomang 50 years back. He also built and created Samtenling Monastery in Bodha, Kathmandu and he brought tremendous Dharma back to Mongolia.

GDR has restored this monastery in video totally along with many other monasteries in Mongolia.

He spent his life carrying out dharma.
