They can easily live 20 plus years on a healthy diet. We got Boo when she was 20 and she's still going strong. She's a riot-even though she'll bite me if she gets the chance- our family loves her comments on everything and the stuff she says in context.
Birds biting problems can be trained out of them you know. There are quite a few sites that will teach you techiques to tame them but i would recomend birdtricks however that particular site isnt free but imo its the most helpful.
LOL lmao!! i want one. there is one is the local newspaper for 450 dollars with the cage.how much did boo cost? i really want one! how are they as pets? i have experience with birds and tons of other animals, but never with this kind of bird
my fam wont allow me to get one as i already have 2 parakeets. i am looking to get another bird of some sort tho. birds are like potato chips, once you have one you want a ton
You have to have tons of patience and tons of time. Parrots demand a lot of attention or they'll start plucking thier feathers aswell as other self destructing habbits. It helps if you have a lot of people living in the same house.

@Madamoiselle99 I came in late, was someone saying amazons just live ~20 years??? More like 60 if they're healthy.
If you got her when she was 20, she has plenty of time to go. I know a couple Amazons well into their 40s and going strong.
