  • NOW WAIT. Is the 2.0T the RS Turbo engine still? As in the EVOX block? Or the same as the GDI on the 2.0T sonata?

  • I want Hyundai to test the Genesis at Nürburgring. I am fucking curious the result of time.

  • hyundai has done it again, this is really going to spice up the competition and with the new veloster...it won't be long that they will become one of the leading car brands

  • I think all the people who say this is ugly are pre 2013 genesis owners that are mad the 2013 will be much better

  • Ugh I wanted one but the front is ugly I don't like the big black front end, who the hell did that, should have left the front the same as the 2012, damn it!!!

  • I dont understand why most people are so concerned about the hood, i plan on getting this car as soon as it releases and the hood is definetly coming off whether is the new 2013 hood or the older version hood

  • the front does not look bad but i would take the 8 speed and the turbo and put it into my 2012 2.0t

  • love the look of the 2013 Genesis

  • i like it, and i've never liked a hyundai before

  • Expect the V6 manual on the "hotcake" list. However my wussy self would rather have the 8-speed 2.0 turbo lol.

  • i actually do like the front end with the wide back it just screams power!

  • I don't know. I remember back when the 1999 Mustang came out. All we saw of it were pictures of the car for months before the public got to see it and EVERYONE hated them! I remember one magazine saying, "it (the Mustang) looks better in person than in pictures", and the magazine was right! The Mustang DID look a lot better in person. I sure hope for Hyundai's sake that's the case with the 2013 Gen Coupe! Right now, looking at the pics, the term "Butterface" is coming to mind!

  • What the hell happened, the original designed in Irvine California was much better. Know this probably redesigned in Korea truly sucks

  • old ones look better. this is ugly

  • fucking ugly....

  • When is this car coming to the states?

  • the shift lever looks cool.. looks like a panamera

  • FUGLY

  • ditch the front, for the 2012 model, and i would buy one in 2013!

the rest of the car looks beautiful from all angles. . . but the front. . . UGLY.

why make a car so nice, then screw it up? who's in charge of design there?

maybe they they will 'update the front' for the USA market!

then i will put down my green backs!

  • @dannnylaws53 i hope they update the front i only have 3,985 miles on my 2012 2.0t but i would trade it for the 8 speed trans.

  • Why don't they ever make a nice affordable sport car that not only drives well but look handsome?

  • Love to get this car but I can't stand the ugliness. Maybe I just buy a 335i coupe to satisfied my thirst.

  • cheap casket made in the shitty peninsula

  • @PhoenixGPthird

    shut up ugly japs

  • @sasaew

    shut up filthy cockroaches

  • fucking ugly

  • all i care about is the upgraded powertrains

  • 1:32, it burns...

  • @DevinXYP the interior? you don't like it? IMO.. I like it better than the first Gen.. :)

  • @thesanglee88 No no no no no, i meant the fake vents, ever since I saw fake vents on mustangs when I was little, I had a thing against them.

  • @DevinXYP haha okay I agree.

  • Toyota 86 and Subaru BRZ generate 200 H.P. by 2 liters. It is a natural aspiration engine and is not a turbo.

It should be sold for 20,000 dollars or less.

Behind, Toyota puts a supercharger model on the market and Subaru STI puts a turbo model on the market.

The true match of Genesys has room for improvement.

  • @maplefreak64 fucking Japanese troll on EVERY Korea-related videos on Youtube. So pathetic. why don't you go fix your dumb nuclear plant first?

  • @12987343 hey you keep commenting about japanese in every korean video plesse be smart and stop it ~just ignore it ~ you'r giving them more attention they want ~ its like they go to korean videos to take piss (create problem) and here you are keeping saying hey~! japanese has been here everyone~! ~you'r only making it more fun for them can't you see?

  • @12987343 hey~ true way to win against the jap or any internet trolls is not to get you'r self get too affected by their nagative message but you are seem to be doing the opposite more you mention jap, it can shows you'r caught up in their game and that can only gives japs island more satisfaction~

  • @maplefreak64 Where did you get your facts? I all the facts I have heard or read said the 86 and BRZ will sell around 25000+. I'm trying to choose either the GC or the BRZ. Please give correct facts before comparing. Plus this car is not for GC. It's benchmark is the Miata.

  • @thesanglee88

the benchmark of BRZ -- Miata ? -- you think that you do not understand BRZ.

    The price is important.

However, it is also important to get to know an article.

I recommend not wavering in you but choosing GC.

  • @maplefreak64 Yes, Miata. That is why I read on an article. Why? due to the weight, power, and size is close to Miata. 86/BRZ to GC?? not a chance. Only the STI version and whatever Scion comes out for their 'sport' version will compete with the GC and most likely better than the GC. Those will be priced mid-30s. What do you mean by 'price is important, however, it is also important to get to know an article'?? I don't get your last statement. You recommend me getting the GC?

  • @thesanglee88 Yes.

GC is recommended to people who like the bigger body, a bigger engine, and straight line speed.

86/BRZ is a real sports car which enjoys a cornering.

The reduction in the center of gravity and a chassis are filled with all the technology.

It is being dared to suppress displacement volume and engine power.

It is for the pleasure which turns an engine by high rotation.

If it compares in a winding load or a circuit, in GC, it will not be compared.

  • @maplefreak64 Okay, now you are making sense. This I agree but wowowow.. 'real sports car' really? how are you going to make a statement like that? just b/c it is light and can corner better than some cars? wow.. you just lost my credibility with you. I would not say it will not compare with GC. Then you are saying BRZ/86 can keep up with WRX, Mustang v6, and GC on the track? With the power it has.. no it can't. Maybe on a small mountain rds then maybe yes. Track I don't think so.

  • @thesanglee88

They are Mustang and GC on a track?

If it goes around, they will lose brake performance immediately.

It cannot have too many of a heavy body, and cannot bend quickly, either.

86/BRZ covers the disadvantage of a horsepower with chassis performance.

A long time ago, small Porsche 911 challenged the muscle American car.

  • @maplefreak64 Did you even look up the article? WRX came in third, GC second, and Stang first as in track time. How are you going to make assumptions like that? how do you know86/BRZ brakes are superior to those three car's brakes? What model of Muscle car are you referring to? 'Long time ago" muscle cars are good for going straight. 911 is made for the track. 911 is a legendary car. How long ago are you talking about? American muscle cars now are totally different animals.

  • @maplefreak64 American muscle cars nowadays can keep up with many imports on a track. You can not compare the different eras of muscles cars. The classic American muscle will never be forgotten but cannot compete with the current ones and definitely not on the track. Making assumptions saying 86/BRZ is superior to any sports cars on the market. Oh why did you leave out WRX on ur first statment? b/c it is a japanese car? too bad it came in third. I love the WRX don't get me wrong.

  • @thesanglee88 WRX is a car at which it turns well.

The chassis performances, such as a brake and a suspension, are also excellent.

    There is also power.

This cannot win by any means with a natural aspiration engine, even if the chassis of 86/BRZ is excellent.

    You are theoretical.

However, though the catalog spec of WRX is equivalent to Mustang, there is no odds in Mustang in all scenes in fact.

    It understands?

Therefore, it is not because it is a Japanese vehicle.

  • @thesanglee88

A horsepower is not a problem.

If an enemy is GC, in winding and track, it can win by chassis performance.

However, probably, change of a tire and a suspension and some tuning are needed at worst.

  • @maplefreak64 You have not answered single question I have been asking. Beginning you were saying 86/BRZ can beat GC on the track. Right? if so then 86/BRZ can also beat WRX and Mustang.. yes or no? you are pretty much talking trash about GC and not WRX, but GC clearly beat the WRX on the track. STOCK. please just answer my question so I know where you stand.

  • @thesanglee88

    Mustang is won.

    WRX cannot be won.

    OK?

  • @maplefreak64 That does not make sense.. you are saying 86/BRZ can beat the Mustang v6 but can't beat the WRX??

  • @thesanglee88

    That's right.

Although I say repeatedly, if chassis performance does not follow, the car cannot win competition.

  • @maplefreak64 LOL this conversation is over. You are just a bias youtuber. The GC and Mustang clearly beat the WRX on a track but you are saying 86/BRZ and beat the Mustang V6 but can't beat the WRX. Wow.. that just proves how dumb you are.

  • @thesanglee88

    OK.

86/BRZ is not the car that only competes for victory or defeat but a car which enjoys a sharp response.

You who like a bigger engine and a bigger horsepower will not be suited.

Please purchase GC3.8 and enjoy yourself on a city area or an expressway.

  • @maplefreak64 HAHA wtf are you talking about? I know that. I know 86/BRZ is not for straight line shootout. I, who likes cars that is well rounded. GC can clearly surpass a very good car like WRX on a track. THIS IS A FACT. YOUR STATEMENT HAS NO EVIDENCE. Saying 86/BRZ can beat GC and Mustang on a track but can't beat the WRX, when a test done by Car and Driver Mag. shows the GC and Mustang beat the WRX on the track. How does that make sense? lol

  • @maplefreak64 Oh and if the 86/BRZ is so perfect then why are they getting a supercharge and turbo version?? My guess is so that they can compete with faster cars. Please just stfu and don't leave any nonsense comments. I tried to be nice and logical but you clearly don't have any sense. Idiot.

  • @maplefreak64 you do understand that chassy rigidity alone does not win competitions right ? engine management, tuning, aerodynamics, TIRES !!, suspension, etc all go into winning competitions. just saying..

  • @maplefreak64 FACT. I do not dislike the 86/BRZ. I dislike comments like you put up. Making assumptions of the car and saying it is better than the other cars. You are being bias and I believer b/c it is a Japanese made car. You are proud of it and you want to believe it is better. I respect that if that's the case but putting up wrong facts bothers me. I'm done.. you have no credible reference or facts on your argument.

  • @maplefreak64 Why do I compare with the WRX and Stang? b/c the 'Lighting Laps" done by Car and Driver. All these cars hits 0 to 60 around 5.5. That shows what they are capable of turning out of the turns. BRZ,/86, from what I read, around less than 7sec. It just lacks power. Big cars can't turn? false, have you seen GTR in person? My friend has one and that car is huge. I thought it would be "smaller" and nimble looking car but it is huge. so are Vettes.

  • @maplefreak64 You can't make any 'it is' or 'it will' statement when you haven't seen any 'actual' numbers from the track and what it is capable on the track. Only assumptions. I have been making logical assumptions with the numbers that have been shown. This car will be a awesome car around the mountain rds and such, which a car I am looking for, but it need more power. That is why they are making supercharge and turbo version. We will see which car is 'better' once released. agree?

  • @maplefreak64 Here is a picture of the spec sheet of the 86. And look at the cars that are compared to. This shows that my statement is legitimate.

Also more I look it says that price of the car will be 25k+ and not below 20k. Are you talking about US dollar value or Japanese?

  • @maplefreak64 well damn.. I guess Youtube will not allow me to put a link on the comment.. go to Thetruthaboutcars and look for ft 86 spec sheet. :)

  • @thesanglee88

    It has the spec. sheet.

    It is OK.

    However, catalog spec is meaningless.

The fighting power of this car cannot be denoted by spec.

Does it differ about one more and a price in Japan and the United States?

It was failure although I described the price in Japan by the present exchange rate simply.

  • The hood can go! Everything else i like.

  • im so happy i got my '12 before this ugly thing came out

  • Ya... Don't like that new front end too much. Subaru BRZ / Toyota FT86 for me.

Do you know if Hyundai is going to fix their transmission problems?

  • @UGAundergrad As far as I've heard Hyundai has beefed up the six speed manual and given the new 2013's a 8 speed automatic!

  • @CFLGenesisClub I think it looks nice and i can see it with some after markets mods that will definantly add even more character to the new design. I cant wait to get one.

  • Comment removed

  • so the hood now has 2 fake vents?

  • @whatsdone Sadly yes....but just think of the aftermarket crowd giving you true vented hoods :)

  • @whatsdone looks like it, just like the old mustang did, and alot of other cars like tacoma. I think the hood looks good, maybe just for show but it kinda gives it personality.

  • I'ma stick with my 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0t Track model.....I'm not feelin the front end at all!!! :/

  • so ugly

  • the front looks really gay they should have just kept the front of the old gencoupe

  • Love the overall shape and the back. HATE the front. I really want to know what pricing will be, what with the FR-S and BRZ coming out. Love the upgraded engines too. 4 banger now has 275 hp, more than a WRX, and the V6 has 350 HP, more than the 370z and STI. If it starts at 24,000 it's a damn steal. I still prefer the FR-S though. I just trust Toyota/Subaru to build better quality cars, regardless of power.

  • how many horses?

  • i dont like the grill

  • Looks great! Do you know if the new Coupe still has the rev hang?

  • @twkijc Nope! The new 6 speed manual has been fixed as far as I've heard and the new 8 speed automatic transmission is crisp and smooth.
