Her alto voice really showed up in the My Love Is Your Love album. She hit some of her soprano notes up to F5 with her real voice not her falsetto. Her voice has gotten darker and not so light like is was up until her material on the Preacher's Wife. She managed to still keep her F5 until 2004. WEhen she sang in Torino in 2006, she struggled and strained herself hitting a D5. She's now a full dramatic contalto.

THe last note matched PERFECTLY like on the album, but I think she tried 2 a sort of run w/ her voice and just missed it. I can't believe it was due to her "lack of capabilities".

That's not a contralto, that's a broken soprano voice. Even a contralto voice has high notes, full and healthy.

A voice that goes down is showing problems. In her case it has to do with her personnal life but more with her tendency of pushing under stress and the fact that she made her voice sound mature (read 45-50 years old) before time.

When she first began singing, she was considered a Spinto Soprano, but now she is considered to be a Dramatic Mezzo Soprano. Also, she was going through hell when she came out with this cd.

All you got to type is Whitney Brunei IWDWS 1996 and you get the performance on you tube. I Am Changing NYC this on youtube too. Listen to all IWDWS on youtube one she hits either F6 or E6 but I think its a F6. There are higher notes but there not on youtube.
