  • What if you're stealing you're neighbor Internet how do I find the connection to connect to there's ?

  • @Jasmine77126 Ask the neighbor for the password :)

  • my friend told me that he was using dsl connection and when technician came dont know for what reason he told him that smbdy was also connected to dsl/cable internet not wifi.i told my friend that he is probably mistaken cos u cant hack into cable internet.so is it possible to hack into dsl conection? cos my net disappears quite frequently during this week and phone is clicking

  • @markedone150 IMO anything is hackable given the time and the expertise. What you are experiencing with your DSL sounds a lot more like a) you've got phone lines without DSL filters on them or b) bad phone wiring.

  • thanks alot im on my computer =D

  • can repley please um on my connecton i have 2 soo local area connection 2 and thats open but i connected it dosent work i have other connection thats number1soo that one has x top on the lock howcan i fix that please help me

  • @TheAlex1520 If they are both ethernet connections the red "X" means that there is no cable connected to it. If the other one is connected but you are not getting Internet, you may need to make sure you are getting an IP address from your router or cable modem or whatever you are connected into. Follow the steps in the video to do that... if you are getting an address that starts with 169.254.255 that's an autoconfiguration address, which means you're not getting assigned one from your router.

  • Thnx, you helped me alot!!!

  • i see you have a linksys router

  • Faken!!! Thanks bro .. Something was wrong with my lap and i fixed thanks to the video :D

  • what if you cant connect to the internet, like after you reformat your computer?

  • @LeaderOfKGB, If you can't connect right after a reformat there's a good chance Windows did not have your LAN driver built-in.

  • @LeaderOfKGB im having the same problem.. how'd you solved it??

  • @CarlAngeloIsMyName: If you can't get to the Internet after you reformat or reinstall Windows, you need to install the network drivers for your PC. They should be on a disk that came with it or a separate drive. If you can't find the disk, you'll have to download them from the manufacturer's website from another computer. Hope that helps!

  • @CarlAngeloIsMyName I tried replying with a link to another tutorial I wrote about this issue but YouTube won't allow me to include links in a reply. Baically if you reformat and have no Internet, there is a good chance Windows doesn't have your LAN driver. You'll need to install it from the manufacturer's disk.

  • @ReichConsulting can u juz give me the link so i can install it? haha

  • @CarlAngeloIsMyName lol... without knowing what model PC you have, no :/

  • what if theres nothing in your network connections folder?

  • @homediddy382 then fix your headphones, it is not very loud but stil its good enough

  • The network connections menu is just empty for me. I've tried to hook it up to my cable modem, my router, and even my high-speed usb wireless internet detector. And if I run Ipconfig on the command prompt, nothing shows up. What do i do?

  • How can i find my SSID for connecting to ms DS lite wireless

  • like watching a soap opera, long winded and not much information

  • Nice video. Not exactly what I was looking for but very informative. thankyou!!

  • y are people having a go at you....the title said exactly what you were gonna do so why bother saying shit like poor video

  • wow this video is like teaching me to switch on my computer....waste of time

  • @att1tud3 It's meant for beginners, not people that already know their way around a computer. Sorry you didn't find it helpful. It seemed to help others.

  • this video sucks , my connections shows nothing , so this video shows me nothing !

  • I have a message in my System Tray by the icon that looks like 2 computers linked. {Interesting, since I don't HAVE 2 computers. JUST one.} Hovering over the icon shows me the message:

"Local Area Connection - Speed: 10.0 Mbps - Status: Limited or no connectivity"

    How do I fix this?

  • @stevenscottoddballz i think its your ISP that has a problem.

  • @nikkolei

O.k., that was QUITE some time ago that I posted this. The NEW problem is the speed between clicking a link & when the page loads: about 45 to 60 SECONDS. If I'm watching a video, sometimes the video skips. If the page loads an advertisement, I have to wait between the changing & loading of the new advertisement before I can do anything.

  • @stevenscottoddballz the problem is your internet browser.....try to use google chrome with adblocker.. trust me no more advertising in videos :D

  • low audio

  • same here!!!!

  • dude i just rebooted my xp because it got a virus. and now there is now network connections or any way of finding my network. can you please help me :(

  • if u get help please help me

  • same damnit

  • I don't know about that word 'Reich', as Third Reich which still inspires horror in European minds. Lovely presentation and, unlike that other chap, your voice doesn't send me to sleep! Just a tad too fast at some points but I'm sure you know already.

  • Reich is my last name... no Nazi connotations intended :) Thanks for the compliments though! I always thought I sounded like a nerdy Casey Kasem.

  • how do you connect 2 xp computers to run on one router for internet connection?

    thanks

  • If we're talking about a consumer-grade wired router (like a Linksys or D-Link you can pick up at Best Buy) you should be able to just plug the ethernet cable into the PC's and the router and plug the internet connection from your modem into the Internet port on the router.

A wireless router takes more setup. Each PC needs a wireless card, and you need to configure the same settings (SSID/network name and encryption type and password) on both the router and the computers.

  • umm I only got 1 dns server but im trying to connect to my ps2 online how can i get a second dns server? pls respond back my router is a webstar DPC2100 series

  • DNS servers will be set automatically by your router. If you don't have 1 DNS server then never fear, that's probably how it was intended.

  • my network icon on my other computer shows this yellow triangle i don't know how to set up internet sharing so I'd be glad if you help me with this situation thanks

  • Truth be told if you have an Internet connection to share between computers you'll spend less time and money buying a router than you will making ICS work. Besides, if you use ICS one computer will depend on the other to get to the Internet, which means if one breaks then neither have Internet access.

  • can i use this to set up my ipod internet?

  • Very clear and concise. Excellent help. Good work Brian.

  • what is in command ipconfig

  • I'm not sure what you are asking, but if you want to know how to use the command, just type "ipconfig /?" at the command prompt to get a list of command options.

  • helpfull thanks !

  • i got an old lap top ,this might be a stuped question ,but how can i found out if it contains a wireless router? could anybody help!!

  • You probably mean a wireless network adapter, not a wireless router. The router is the piece of hardware that connects via a cable to your modem. Your laptop will use a wireless adapter to connect wirelessly to that . To check, you need to go to device manager (Right-click My Computer, go to properties, click Hardware tab, click Device Manager). Expand the Network Adapters section and look for anything that says "Wireless" or "802.11a/b/g"

  • Contest is ok. Unable to read connection status info. What is Mac address, IP, etc.

    Improve:

Explain what is DHCP, default gateway, etc.

  • Poor video content? Or quality? If you think this video is that bad, what do you think I should do to improve them in the future?

  • Do you know how to connect Wifi from a laptop with Windows XP? My old one connects instantly very well. Do I need a password or something? or need to do something in settings?

  • You'll need to enter the wireless settings into the laptop that is not connecting. It's always a good idea to document your wireless settings and keep them in a safe place so you can refer to them when you want a new computer to connect to your router. What you need to know is the network name (SSID), encryption type, and password.

  • @jomanu2 shut up

  • omg how do i find my network name(SSID) and how do u find your wep key! pls tell me!

  • oh!! cmon can someone be brave enough to make a video for window vista also....

  • Can You Help Me Out I Got a Problem It Says...a network card is incorrectly configured. The card should be able to receive a new network address each time it connects to the Internet. Instead, it is setup to use a fixed address at all times.

HOW DO I FIX THAT CAN NE1 TELL ME
