  • let me tell u that u are a god send. thank u so much for your hard work i wish more people were like u. thanks steve

  • i dont know if this has been asked, i noticed you use MOSFET> why MOSFET instead of HEXFET? is there an RMS difference? i have heard HEXFET to be more stable @ higher amps, is that true or not?

  • Great video, I actually think I can do this, with your video(s)...Thank you for sharing your knowledge, teachers are hard to find..

  • "Easy huh? NOT SO EASY I WAS UP TILL 2 AM" sorry but that was funny lol but very good video i am a newb at building circuits but i will definitely try this later on Great Job

  • Excellent work as usual Z! What do you think about adding a protection diode to the 78xx? Maybe adding a supply polarity fault LED as well? 2cents.

  • ZeroFossilFuel, pls check ur massage.

  • Very nice straightforward layout and execution...I might add that it is always a good idea to hit the fresh solder connects with a touch of circuit chiller(or some canned air)especially around semiconductors. Whenever you're working with power Mosfets, one should strap-in(ESD bracelet and pad)before handling these components(unpacking, mounting,or soldering)Best of luck on the project,ZFF...btw,I didn't notice an LED power indicator light...

  • Luv the nice clean layout you have--this is time well spent. When I do this kind of layout with with software, the design doesn't look nearly this clean.

  • THANKS! I judge the quality of my layouts by how few on board jumpers I have to live with to make it work. This one has two. Not bad.

And, there's plenty of room left if I want to add a current amplified gate driver to increase the upper frequency limits even higher.

  • I did notice all the extra space you created--which wouldn't be there or have good component accessibility if done by computer. Your work reminds me of Steve Wozniak Apple II disk controller.

  • Great job Z!!

I have a 2004 Chevy Cargo Van (4.8L) and have a cell that is providing about 2LPM, but no MPG gains (No loss either). I am eager to use an EFIE and PWM.

Have you seen a consistant MPG increase utilizing your PWM and EFIEs?

  • What is the maximum amperage you are planning to get out of your PWM?

  • This output device IRFP064N is rated 110 amps continuous, 330 amps peak repetitive, 0.009 ohms saturated on resistance.

I plan to use it at 30 amps continuous, 100 amps peak repetitive. At this level the MOSFET should only have to dissipate 8.1 Watts RMS.

Well within the limits of the unit, well above the draw many people are comfortable placing on their stock alternators.

  • have you thought of etching a circuit board for this? I think I will put your design in Eagle and make a board for it. When I am done, I can send it to you if you like.

Is your circuit board about 2.2 x 1.7?

  • I would be most grateful! 2.3" x 1.8"

  • Would you be willing to share your PC board design? Perhaps allow Zero to post it on his web. Or even sell a board to those more comfortable building his PWM that way?

  • keep it up don't get in a rush with it take your time you don't won't it to blow up on you good work

  • Will heat inside the box be an issue?

  • What heat?

  • Thanks for posting your excellent work, we are all learning how to build the HHO system.

When are you going to offer the plates and gasket kit for the dry cell?

  • As always wonderful work! I for one appreciate your time and effort. Just a note: there were about four ads on weight loss .... nothing on hair though :)

  • pff..these basic circuit boards are interesting but i would have know idea where to begin with capacitors and transistors...very cool to do it yourself!
