CONSCIOUSNESS IS SOMETHING THAT YOU REALLY CANT EXPLAIN IN MATERIAL OR PHYSICAL TERMS AND AT THE SOMETIMES IS SOMETHING YOU CANT DENY EXIST.

I don't know from when this lecture is, but today the subject of consciousness is not excluded from the "hard" sciences anymore.

The best chance we got for understanding consciousness in scientific terms is to look for the neural correlates of consciousness in the brain. That's what researchers such as Christof Koch and Francis Crick are working on.

So this lecture is not up to date.
