  • 9:12... hehe... how interesting ... John Paul Jones, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page all doing some sort of jig ... hehe - thats just too fun(ny) ...oh at 6:14... that's the start of the Bouree from J.S. Bach's Lute Suites (as popularixed by Andres Segovia for classical guitar)... not bad for a low-slung 'Les Paul'

  • 4:40 ...listen to the sounds of the straining strings in that note bend ... there's something really great about Page's playing - some complain he is 'sloppy' but I say it is raw intensity and that's so much better than the countless 'technical perfectionists' out there running up and down scales with exact precision ....*YAWN* - I'll listen to Page any day over that boring technical exercise stuff. Page is a true artist and inventive and allows the moment to express itself through him.

  • what is the name of the song Jimmy plays at 6:14?

  • @1973JimmyPage greensleeves

  • @1973JimmyPage greensleeves

  • @blewsyboy It Bach's bouree

  • @blewsyboy No it's Paint it Black the Rolling Crones.

  • @1973JimmyPage It's Bach's Bouree

  • Female Induced Coronary Crackage LMAO!

  • One wonders...

    *irish dancing*

  • heard the strings crackling:D:D 4:43:D

  • they are high as kites. haha

  • what is your basis for that statement, is it that they are having fun?

i have every other commenter on youtube saying they are high whether they know it or not

  • unfortunately it took hold of them. by their final us tour, my dad said when he saw them page would barely play main riffs and often go off into mindless tangents of wankery, plant's voice off key by a mile and bonzos drumming a crescendo of mud. jpj seemed to keep a tone when he got a part. anyway, i'm rambling, but its a shame that drugs took a hold because they really lost it near the end.

  • @williamx747 I saw them at MSG on Monday 06/13/77. What a thrill to be there, but looking back to those shows with all this great access to old videos and bootlegs, I can see that being the case. By '77 it was kinda Led Zeppelin having to be Led Zeppelin - do you know what I mean? But I can almost guarantee that if you were there, you would have been too high to notice-and the fans made up for what any show lacked. That was the majesty of the Led Zeppelin live experience. I'm glad I was there.

  • @RobertB0402 I saw them the 11th at MSG. I remember (partially) that night as one of the best of my life. And yeah, man, the crowd made up for whatever else. It was magic.

  • lmfao i love the end when therye just screwing around, shows how much they loved what they did. And they sure did it well.

  • lol bach solo!

  • haha that little dance at the end

  • oh wow... jimmy made some big errors during the first minute.

  • you're a big error.

  • lol come on now. i'm a huge zeppelin fan, i love it all. i've got bootlegs, such as the live at the filmore west before they were even famous. despite this i can still admit the difference between them playing well and playing poorly.

  • That Filmore west bootleg wails. "I can't quit you people, but i think we gotta leave San Fransisco for a little while."

  • listen to the HMMT solo from that show , mind blowing

  • listen to the HMMT solo from that show , mind blowing

  • i love the medley of "as long as i have you" on that show, and "you shook me" has some siiick basswork.

  • A Robert Plant me lo comía entero!!He's hot!!

  • Now THAT'S what a rock group should look and sound like.

  • those were the days...bonzo driving his motorcicle into a hotel entrance hall, page chucks out TV sets from a hotel window, smoking stuff..oh, man, I was born into wrong times...40 years earlier, and I woudn´t have reached 30 years in my life at least ha ha :D

  • List of people who give a fuck:

    ...

  • ...all about the "bananer" and the lemon... lol bananer

  • oh wow simply wow

  • jimmy page is so cool on the guitar, he hang his guitar so low and play like a god

  • 3:39 epic part of rock history

  • Robert smokes pot onstage

  • this isn´t 2009 footage, this were the mid- seventies ;-) at this time there wasn´t any law that prohibited smoking marihuana in the public, and even heroin was "allowed", or legal available if you want :D

  • who say's pot? zeppelin's the best when you hear them high

  • it is a ciggerate

  • He is sucking it like joint

  • 00:40 he is such a DIVA!!!! i LOVE it! <3

  • fuck i love the title, lol, little complicated

  • ha ha, right, only an insider knows what´s meant by that stuff :D who would expect led zeppelins´ "heartbreaker" in that title? :D

  • its hilarious tho

  • Nice man this is great.

At the beginning is Plant smoking a cigarette or is it some kind of other smokable plant?

  • and it's the wacky tabbacy probably

  • is that a real question when are they not smoking while on stage. have u seen jimmy geez hes heavy tripping i love it!.i love being high and watching zep their the worlds all time best band their god's

  • lol love the title

  • can't you see he's the man? let me hear you applaud! he is more than a man, he's a shining golden god...

page's bouree in e minor at the end of the solo was cute.

  • thought i would never see jimmy page do the duck walk lol

  • Robert's space stair at 0:50 he's mentally preparing himself. 0_0

  • Dude, I cannot say how much I appreciate you posting these tight ass videos. Led Zeppelin is the greatest, enough said. Rock on

  • i seconde that any one who dosnt like zep have either never heard them or they think rolling stones are better wich by the way isnt true ZEP = GODS

  • :D funny XD

what does plant sing from 0:37 to 0:43?

does somebody know, what song it is? I glad I can´t compare it to another zeppelin lyric ;-)

    thx in advance

  • It's not a Led Zeppelin song, he just singing to himself lol. It's probably a 50's song called "Dream Lover," but I'm really not sure. I garentee it's a 50's early 60's song.

  • Afro is right, it's called Dream Lover and it was written by Bobby Darin.

  • thanks for posting your confirmation that plants intro to heartbreaker came from "dream lover" ;-)

  • are those ciggerettes?

  • what else?? ;-)

  • Holy crap I've never noticed that before. I've watched this video like 10 times. I like how jimmy doesn't even care.

  • some chick spanks Jimmy at 0:59. Lawl.

  • Who wouldn't? :)

  • it was his guitar tech giving him some more cord slack

  • Great! So sexy and raw.. Jimmy's solo was groovey!!

  • lol yes! tis me alex .. lol nice comment btw :)

    exactly what i was thinking

  • quite grooveh

  • ahha its def all about the banana and lemon baby !!!

  • Is this you from led zep group.. It's Alex..

  • LMAO Jonesy at 9:20 was getting into the groove.

  • he plays Bouree at the end of his solo.

  • Thats a guitar sound!.

Great audio...... the band and the recording.

    Thnx again!

  • lemon and banana? lemon=male genitals (squeeze my lemon); banana=well..

lemon and peaches would be better

  • haha

  • jimmy was drunk as shit and it was awesome

  • is it really all about the bananer and the lemon?

  • ... yes .. it REALLY IS... LOL

it does not get any better than LIVE LZ ... and this was one helluva night ... saw them live aplenty, but ... wish i had been there for this one ... ~BIG sigh~

  • -_- at least you had the chance to see them. . . i was born on the 89. . . unlucky me >_> so shut up and smile :P (:

  • when everything comes together all at once at 1:02, that is pure rock and roll. Nothing else like it, outstanding!

  • ..thus came the title for the OCEAN. A sea of roaring, cheering, clapping fans. A clamour seldom seen before and after...

  • ... I LOVE THIS VID ... mainly because ... this was their zenith (on at least one level)... see how they love being this appreciated FINALLY ... being fully justified in their HOME ... after years of being ignored or knocked by the press ... (not that there were not more amazing years to come, but).... this was an amazing moment for them and their most ardent fans (yeah, me)...

  • I Love slight guitar pause at 1:01

  • What a sound.

  • all about the banana and the lemon

    haha

  • OMG, I've entered a secret molehill into the net and found Camelot

  • robert was smokin some good shit right there.

  • wonder if they would have played this great agian next morning

  • When Zeppelin booked themselves into hotels they did it under the name "the Nobs". I think they may have actually used that name for some early gigs as there was a problem with Countess Von Zeppelin over the use of the family name.

  • DAYUMMMMMMMM....HELL YEAH!

  • MR SHADOWMAN!!!! You got IT!!!

  • that was fucking amazing

  • sexy

  • page is my favorite guitarist....but O MY GOD! he is so sloppy!!!!!

  • probably drunk as hell and tired from all the groupies...

  • I think they were all a little tipsy (to say the least) during this performance. I love it!

  • They were all drunk. It was the 70's. Before the encore that snagged a few more drinks and went out there and went all balls out!

  • In TSRTS he performed LIVE the best solo ever in STH no sloppyness, no errors. Only infinite Page's talent.

  • somehow the sloppiness makes it better. that was always a talent of page's, he just gets a bye on the sloppiness.

with him, missed notes somehow become "accents."

  • thanks, i just came.

  • Utterly perfect...master musicians. Just awesome!

  • great way to post. yeah!!!!

  • omfg!!

  • PK (or PuKed), Page is so strange that he's probably God and its opposite (Dog?) at the same time.

    Great guitar player.

    Great band.

    Rock on!

    BOTA PRÁ FUDER!

  • no doubt

    Jimmy is THE GOD

at least its my god :D

  • For some reason both Jimmy and Bonzo (and maybe Robert) seem a little drunk at this concert. Which they were still amazing no doubt. There music was great. I just get that vibe that they were drinking before or maybe during the show for some reason.

  • All, I think. At the end ... ???????

  • All I think too. It's their aura. I can't quite figure it out.

  • lol that was the time.... but they still rock so much! but i doubt they were drunk sometimes loud music can be disorienting and how jimmy page bends back alot he would of fell lol but you could be right

  • Lol!

  • Lol! True. Actually I remember see Page and Plant on TV back in 1995 and thinking that Jimmy Page was fucked up on something but he probably wasn't. (P.S. I did see them in 1998!)

  • well Roberts smoking a joint at the beginning and I think jpj is too

  • jimmy was drinking jack daniels before going onstage i think, lol helps calm the nerves

  • crazy awsome!

  • i like how he plays bourree, haha.

  • This is off of the boot "Unstoppable Metal Machine" right?

    Earl's Court '75, kickass.

  • This is '75 right? Ive never seen this before, this is great. Thanks

  • Simply the most awe inspiring band ever!!!

  • robert plant is so cool man. I would totally smoke with him, and jimmy.

  • hi nicholas

  • the visitor is extremly fatttt

  • its all about the bananer and the lemon

  • hi emily

  • Jimmy can be easily named the most innovative player ever!

  • ay no lo amo demasiadoo!

    jimmy me volves completamente crazy!!

  • En cuanto a él o a su musica

  • la musica primero obvio, despues me enloquecio el jajaja xD

  • Robert Plants voice sounds awesome there

  • its all about the banana and the lemon

  • jajja yeah real funny about that

If you got a banana, you got a banana

  • thank the lord for you tube - this stuff is priceless. When I think of all the time I spent looking for bootleg albums

  • is it possible for you to send me this in better quality?

  • how was this not on the dvd???

  • Page you are the best!!

  • does anyone know what song he starts to play at 6:19?

  • the gentle piece? thats Bach's Bouree in Em

  • thanks man

  • at 6:15 or so he busts into bach's bouree in e minor

  • its so weird that Page's playing matchs with the video, but Bonzo's doesnt even in the same shot

  • are you sure, its not officially released, this is a bootleg..??

  • sure of what? sry.

  • i ask can this be "page edited version"? its no official..

  • i do not believe its edited. most unofficial stuff is as close to how it sounds on the night as you can get without being there.

  • Plant is Fucking GREAT 8:08-8:22, Love how Bonzo reacts to his voice

  • Do I hear bits of Carouselambra in the final solo?

  • i gotta say all the names of these videos are amazingly clever

  • Led Zeppelin simply put other bands to shame with masterfull skill play in all elements of Guitar work, Bass work, Drum work and Vocals! Page the best ever to play guitar becouse he understands how a guitar works. When he plays giutar you hear different sounds come out, its because he knows excactly how to get these sounds coming out. Hendrix would come close, but Page understands the techinicalities of guitar and then apllies it with his skill!

  • i totally agree this he is the best..

  • good stuff

  • john paul freakin jones

  • Google "underground uprising" for a whole lotta info on this film footage as well as myriad things Zeppelin.

  • Is this on a DVD?

  • As close to religion as I'll EVER get. The book of Page chapter 1. let there be Led Zeppelin.

  • Can I get a witness? AMEN!!

  • this is our led zeppeling fans secret...dont leak it out..please....fuck the warnergroup bastards...

  • gotta love their dancing at the end of this :D

  • JImmy page was before earth was created...his God :P

  • I love Earl's Court off the DVD, but knew there was a whole lot more. Thanks for posting!

  • Haha. The names you've renamed them are funny. xD

  • this is awesome

  • wero454 - you wer on a roll til you put EMO on the same page as Led Zep mate haha!

  • actually.. when i read my comment about saying PAge and EMo in the same phrase, (or paragraph), it just made me feel dumb =/ that PAge hair was kinda Emo. =( agh!!!

  • i SERIOUSLY disagree with the emo comment.

  • yeah i noe . im sorry =S

  • I know. Besides, Jimmy Page was BEFORE all that emo stuff happened.

  • this is such a great version of heartbreaker

  • listen, page plays bachs B minor song at 6:14

  • priceless! I've never seen Robert talk so long to an audience...

what a treat. ooo I love this interchange with the crowd and I

want more! Jimmy's solo is cosmicspheric or cosmispheric

(new words I just invented because I can't find another to

describe 'out there'). there is a word "cosmosphere" = "depicting

the stars and constellations". so maybe I'll say cosmospheric...

that sounds pretty good too. I'd love to be in their orbit. lol

    re R's curly hair...he's a male beauty:)

    cute title

  • Love how Robert can't even smoke a joint with out being flamboyant

  • dude! i wanna grow my hair like Plant. . and Page =) and Jones, and Bonham ;)

i used to have kinda Jones hair but shorter version of it. =) Plant deserves the award as BEST ROCK HAIR =D

  • yes robert plant hair rocks jim morrison also have a awesome hair i have mi hair right now like robert plant in the 68 live long hair and led zeppelin.

  • robert is so sweet when he says''this is something we naver do''at 0:15...

  • is there another encore after that song because I can see that they don't want to leave the stage and the audience doesn't want, too!!!

  • Communication Breakdown.
