  • was the way...

  • Paul puts a Stevie Wonder/James Taylor twist on this.

  • The original 1970 version of "The Long and Winding Road" was already one of my favorites, but when I heard the 1984 version with the sax intro and the celestial background voices I was stunned "Is it possible to improve a masterpiece? ....Sir Paul did it.

  • hey, "jacenty841", thanks so much for posting this brief, but excellent video piece for "the long and winding road". I have been searching for this "piece" for a long time and Now, viola! I have found it. thanks so much. Kudos, Bravo, job well done. l8tr!

  • I listen to this song every time I go for an evening walk...It really matches the empty streets.

  • the only version of this song i can listen to. best arrangement and a cracking mccartney vocal performance.

  • this is my favourite arrangement of this classic written by Paul McCartney for the Beatles. I bought this album and listened to it so much. I come from Liverpool and I am so proud of the legacy that the Beatles have left this city with...proud of the history and the hard work that it is obvious each Beatle put into his role in the Beatles. It takes a degree of luck to be discovered by the "right" manager and everything but ultimately they were so lucky to work with George Martin-immense skill

  • @1966buttons my favorite arrangment also. the sax just does it. another good vesion is on the Wings over America live album

  • love this version,my all time favourite McCartney song

  • Hi, thank you very much for post this version of this great song. Remind me my teen times.

  • I do remember this..I was 24...so sweet :) Thank you Jacenty....Gratitude..

  • Essa música é linda!!!! E essa versão é maravilhosa!!!! Valeu Paul pela bela canção!!!

  • The movie was not so successful, but I do like its sound-track, especially

new versions of this song and "Silly love songs".

The original Beatles version is like Paul's own song and the other members

might have had little to contribute in playing the song, but this version would

be the one they all could join in.

I think that John might have wanted to arrange this song just like that, and not

to turn it into Paul's private song like Yesterday.

  • @knakao1963 yesterday paul's private song? sorry but it's the song most covered in the world.

  • @lirfrank yeah, I know, it keeps the Guinness record, actually.

by "Paul's private song" I meant that it was the song in which no other

member but Paul joined in the recording, although other members did join

    in playing that song live.

Probably my English expression was wrong or misleading.

  • @knakao1963 I know, just wanted to say it, yesterday ''the most covered song in the world''
