  • first chance of going to war he's there front of the queue, He's a liar and he plans to sell whats left of the country. Hitler would be proud of this excuse of a man.

  • @Timcookie321 are you having a laugh, i wouldnt believe a word he said. No, not ever. Horrible creature. False fake liar. hope you all realise what we are dealing with before its too late.

  • It is not the talk, judge the man by the actions. In so doing, David Cameron has sold the people out.

  • This 'AID' we send abroad. Very suspicious. Be transparent and let us the 'Big Society' see EXACTLY what the money is being spent on. Sorry Prime Minister but the public have a right to know, mouths are going unfed here and a buzz word like AID congruous up images of bags of flour and bottled water, maybe medical supplies that sort of thing. We are clearly giving money to foreign interests for higher reasons and we deserve to know what. Sniper rifles?

  • Why are you such a massive fucking cunt is my question to you Prime Minister. You're doing fuck all for education, if not making it worse and harder to get in to. So why don't you do us all a favour and crawl back under that upper class, snobbish, pompous, rock that you clawed yourself out from? Good fucking luck in the next election mate

  • There is So much I could say to you Mr Cameron, however it would be TOO long for here. And what may we ther Voters may ask is the point of asking you anything as you Do NOT care and Do not listen. You speak of education, thousands spoke to you through demonstrations about your Uni fees. Nobody but a few Tories and You want them. Did you listen to the people and Soldiers who have lost equitment and their Jobs, did you listen to the police who will be made redundunt because of your CUTS?!NO!!.

  • @100percentbabeLOL This is just another spin doctoring Gimmick, we had New Labour Spin now we have New Tory Spin, you say your concerned about Education. Explain to the disabled children in my area and others why they have lost their schoolbus, explain to the same children why they the few specail needs children that are allowed a schoolbus now have to travel to pick up points far from home, from their wheelchairs?!!. You have attacked everybody with your Tory ideology except ur Banking buddies!

  • David? can you get us free ice cream and pizza in school

  • who voted to a coalition? I can't remember being asked.....

  • why are there so many fucking foreigners in our schools?

  • Well I like you David! kick some labour arse my boy!

  • Jeez stop whining like little bitches. If you want our economy to end up like zimbabwe's did then go ahead, vote labour

  • Coming from class A fucking stoner

  • It is possible and is necessary, to sum up, looking in the past and the future, steps of conservatives in stabilization of economic questions of a survival are justified? How to return the lost positions, how to normalize all financial questions, how to build inside and outside a policy, how to return influence in the world?

  • he should be made to live off £40s a week id like to see how long he would last

  • LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • And they've ALREADY cut the education budget!!!!! Behind the curtains, yes transparency! Less money for pupils with special educational needs, less for G&T,schools are already cutting down on staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That a toffy nosed Tory would do that while promising money for what are essentially new private schools is not a surprise; that the Lib Dems are allowing therir toffy-nosed leader to support this is pure betrayal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is he actaully highering education fees for universities??

  • at least he doesnt insult old women :')

  • @aliceinnit not publicly

  • FOR GOD SAKE CAN WE GET AWAY FROM THE TRADITIONAL CONSERVATIVE LABOUR CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean they are just the same no difference

  • David, why are you SUCH a CUNT???

  • @D0ubleStandard Good question.

  • @D0ubleStandard lol, I was going to ask what Satan's cock tastes like. ^_^

  • fuck off David

  • didnt batman kill the joker in batman 2

  • First you need to educate yourselve and your mp's to speak out about the Hollie Greig child sex abuse case,

involving a judge, social workers, police, nurses, solcitors

You know David those people 'professionals' who are paid to 'care' and protect children.

While your at it you can give back the 4 granddaughters stolen from your now ex-tory councillor in Kent and stop condoning 'child stealing by the state ' for forced adoption in your tory run councils

  • Yea I have a question why is your future Chancellor attending Billdergerg meetings?

  • I have a question on education.... When will Cameron get one? I sincerely hope its at the next election. If he loses, as he surely will, Will he "retire"

  • You are a liar and have no right to sit in judgement never mind lead a country.

  • @hamishpriest I'm sure running a country is no walk in park

  • Hmmmm

  • Camerons a slug , everything he says is a lie , as soon as he gets his greasy fingers in power its going to be an even easier ride for banks and corperations to screw as much money out of the public as possible, it 's the tory way , if you think labour are bad take a look at how maggie mugged the workers and shut down as many hospitals as possible. She shut down bussines ,hospitals and schools , now this hypocrite wants to do it all over agan.

  • I agree with what you're trying to do, education is vitally important but you must drop the idea of faith schools. They are a way to store up even more trouble for the future and ultimately divide society.

  • youre not cool just plain crap

  • This is not a medical necessity and there can be no health issues as to why this "most heinous" criminal and truly perverse act is allowed to continue un-affronted in our society, this is tantamount to the most serious child abuse short of murder...Don't pretend not to know about it Mr Camoron, when you are privy to all manner of Islamic practice, having Muslim Ministers in your cabinet.

This will be immediately ceased under a BNP government "without haste"!

  • kids trying to learn in schools where most of the kids first languge isnt even english doesnt help, its immigration that needs sorting and dave is going to do jack shit about that.

  • TezChi, BNP have the most rapidly growing support of any political party and the answer is simple, people have had enough of the LibLabCon musical chairs trick.

  • Strange, I dont know anyone that even considers the BNP to be human, but then, I don't assosiate with nazi sympathisers.

Why don't you give your standard "liberal ,commie ,athiest" response ? you idiots are quite predicatable

  • MrMorgansgoat, maybe you should get out more..knock on a few doors, see what response you get when you canvass for LibLab or Con. And that's "atheist". you Marxist proletariat! lol

  • Look it up in the history books idiot, torys are a facist party that want to create a huge divide in the class system , they rely on idiots like you that are only able to look back over ten years and come to the wrong conclusion that they will be on the right side of the system.

  • MrMorgansgoat, are you sure that was a reply to me?

I'm voting for BNP, because what is written in their mandate is what you get, LibLabCon are all touting the same Communist agenda, where everyone is driven to into a Stasi monitored State and enslaved by debt and dependancy.

  • The BNP's main complaint is that state monitoring doesn't go far enough. Perhaps I'm wrong. Maybe you do not need to monitor people in order track 'ethnics'. Or maybe immigration does not require monitoring because the BNP will make it self monitoring without the requirement of action. I suppose the BNP are against Labours, (formely supported by Cons) ID cards like the Liberal Dems. I think not. Talk about hypocrissy.

  • No , you are voting bnp because you are a racist that is not educated well enough to be able to research what they are voting for.Bnp are a joke party that will never amount to anything.

Bnp is a nazi party , not as a way of insult but as a fair and accurate description of them ,nick "toilet" griffin was a member of the national front which freely admits to being a group of racist thugs ,also founder member of the bnp john "thank fuck hes dead "tyndall was a true nazi.

  • TezChi, why bother asking, anyone can answer that, Camoron will do nothing except perpetuate exactly the same agenda as Gormless Clown or 'God forbid' Cleggy.

Try Nick Griffin, what you see is what you get, no fiddling, no underhanded complicated riddles, just plain old common sense.

    Vote BNP.

  • The Tory party along with Labour and Lib Dems have only the interests of theier claims, the banks, giant corporations and Israel at heart. Cameron like Brown and Clegg supports continuing bailing of the banks, more ridiculous expense claims, huge tax cut and huge bonuses for the big banks and bankers and more wars for Israel.

  • It is too late David Cameron, there are too many Kids now that have turned out bad, through lack of disapline and letting them do want they want.

Children need boundaries, and there are now Kids having Kids.

What can they teach their Kids,if they are Kids themselves.

This Country is so MESSED UP!

  • Do a youtube search for the new single about The British PM called

    "The Outlaw Gordon Brown"

  • David Cameron does NOT care about this Country,or the British People and will wrong this Country even more if he gets in.

Let's hope that the BNP GET SEATS!

    What will Cameron do then!

  • @OurPaulie4591 , well said .

Britains last and only hope is Nick Griffin. the only sleaze they can pin on him is calling him a Nazi, no "expense fiddles" or any other scandal, so resorting to childish name calling propaganda is all they can do.

BNP for me all the way>>>>>>>

  • Lets have some concrete facts. What is your Policy on Care of the Elderly? Attendance Allowance, will it go, will it stay, will it be means tested. ? What are you going to do about the excessive burocracy. How do you feel about Civil Servants getting a 3.5 per cent pay increase when everyone else has to take a pay cut or get a miniscule pay increase? Can we go back to being able to get a Doctor during the night.? When my husband was ill one of the practise Drs kept in touch till she arrived,

  • JohnThm

believe me you don't want to be a candidate for the Tories

They steal their own councillors grandchildren to met adoption targets

'child stealing by the state' Brian Gerrish

  • Come clean David about your common purpose connections and 'child stealing by the state'

you wont answer on these 2 issues , WHY NOT

    Youtube

    Brian Gerrish common purpose

  • Hey David. Why is it you and you're ilk try and tell us the best way to insure equality in higher education is to charge £7,000 a year for a university education? Please explain, there's obviously something we're all missing.

  • Mr. Cameron. The single greatest threat to Britain today, along with the rest of Europe, is the process of Islamization.

It is expected that you would have other concerns such as the economy and the environment to talk about but when you ignore the question of Islam when you make your political speeches and policy discussions it is clear that you are cowardly avoiding dealing with the 900 lb. gorilla in the room.

  • @CaptainDemocracy1 im with ya on that one brother....over my dead body will i bow to all thingsislamic

  • Very democratic ! ( NOT)

  • @7Vails because thats the beauty of being able to speak i can say anything i want....such as all political parties are money grabbing butt munchers and we the small people are irrelevant. you dont like what i say dont read it

  • jaynies1)The Lights are on in your house but their is defiantly no one at home, You could not say anything on a Labour site as they have the comments disabled, !. By the way IF i DONT READ IT HOW WILL i NOW IF I AGREE OR DISAGREE? It works both ways Freedom of Speach! thats why I can say: ISLAMAPHOBIA is just pure ignorance!

  • @7Vails i dont like any party....even the green party is full of egotists

  • @CaptainDemocracy1 Just like the threat of Black people in the 50s? Or the Jews in the 19th century?

The single greatest threat to our country is not people who have a different faith or skin colour, it's people who are using a troubled economy as an excuse to try and wreck the economic liberty which is the foundation of British democracy and values.

  • I have never read anything more true than what you have written. The motto appears to be. " Lets invent a threat to cover up our short comings."

  • 7fails, you still bangin on about 60's free love shit.

No one is inventing a threat to cover our short comings, most of us are fully aware of what has dragged us into the Abbyss, "Immigration, Immigration, Immigration....

  • DeadOriganal. Bully) You are suppose to grow up as well as growing old! Put Your Questions to David Cameron. Stop trying to censor my point of view! you Labour Troll !

In fact go find someone else to try & Bully.

  • 7fails, your interpretation of bullying is most peculiar,, whereas most grown up's ( that's people with IQ's above primary education level) comprehend a valid and clear point, or debate it. They don't simply say you are a bully. C'mon, throw something substantial back, or just come to terms with the fact that you are not yet ready to make "grown up",sensible/ informed decisions.

The suffragettes did'nt put their lives on the line so you could piss your vote up the wall...

  • And let me spell it out so you don't keep getting confused.

    Vote BNP>>>>>>>

  • I don't know what it is with people in the UK, here in the USA we see what is happening to Britain and it makes me sad for what a great country it once was.

We hav a new political party in America who are concerned by the rise of Extreme Islam. The British National Party looks to be the only way out of your serious problems.

Why do you write BNP when someone calls you a Laboure Trole. What is that anyway?

  • Suhaila, (nice name BTW)I don't know what 7fails is going on about with this "labour troll" thing, and getting all aggressive over comments. To me it's all about trying to communicate a point of view. I know you have the same problems in the US and I've heard about the Third Way party, but you have the added misfortune of an "Islamic President", though David Camoron already has Islamic Cabinet Ministers, so not long before Conservatives are over-ruled by Sharia Persuasion.

  • DeadOriginal, yes we do have problems here in America, potentially far worse but I don't like to air my views on a public forum so i'll send you a PM.

  • what do you see? I mean what is the perception in america out of interest because we obviously only get our own view of the situation so it would be interesting to here what you as an american would say.

  • Dead Original Bully )

You have an Extraordinary vocabulary : 60s Shit, Piss against the wall, your words, I have noticed that you have a lot of Piss & Shit in your brain as you write it on a regular bases! fact you never compile a mail without foul language. You can fool some of the people some of the time. But You can't fool all of the people all of the time. "LABOURE TROLL." Please crawl back under your stone I will not communicate with you. Mail me again & I will write 2 words "L T"

  • dear mr cameron....i am a single mum who raises my two children alone. they are polite and well mannered articulate and loved. if you think marriage is the key to ALL family problems then i will go back to my abusive drunken/druggy cheating partner and hope it works.

you talk out of your cheesy blinkered well paid multiple house occupying expenses paid comfy house out of touch with reality arse

  • No, no, please don't go back to your "abusive drunken/druggy cheating" husband, sorry Partner. Those who plan to have children would do well to form a committed relationship with a better example of humanity than your partner, and it would be right for the society to acknowledge and encourage such relationships. In your case, was your partner as you say he is right from the start, or did he become thus after two children?.

  • @MegaBruceh he was the sneaky gradual abuse build up kind......me and my kids are happy and mr cameron talks out of his choc star fish

  • The worrying thing is he has already gone back on his word. Who can we trust in this sick country ?

  • Get me on the candidate list!

  • Just another puppet to the corporate elite. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY HIS LIES. Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats are different in name only. You must become disillusioned with the current political system of "democracy" before we have any chance to change the world for the better.

  • I feel that you should perhaps think that should think about the Labour Party and their poor performance over the past 13 Years, the Consevative Party do not only stand for the Elite in our sociaty, Just think the Labour is owned by the Unions, and Manderson is not elected yet in reality He is the prime Minster although not officiality, I cannot think of Many MP's in the Labour party who come from a Working Family.

  • That's because "Politics" is now a "Career Choice", rather than an individuals strong held and passionate beliefs.

Labour used to be owned by the unions, until Maggie took them to the dentist and had all their teeth removed.

There is no point in being in a union now because they no longer have any power to do anything. It has been taken away from them sadly.

Years ago you could not get a particular job UNLESS you WERE in the union - Print and car industry being two examples

  • My Great-Grandfather used to say:

"Vote Labour all you want you will never ever beat the bankers"

That's what it is really about . The politicians don't care a jot about you or me.

  • Yes exactly right we are going to the same destination but with a different pilot.

We are about to take the more scenic route rather than the motorway but the result will be the same

  • CS164, what use would a union be anyway, first you'd need an industry.

  • true

  • CS164, Only BNP can restart the cogs of industry, the LibLabCon are only interested in massaging the immigrant vote, co's they know for a fact that they've "shit it" where the true British People are concerned. Obviously there are still a few very confused stragglers like 7fails who have'nt got a clue where milk comes from. lol

  • ar-uebXicoM

    My Video response

  • Check out

    "The Outlaw Gordon Brown"

a great song here on you toobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have promble teenage hood thow stone at door who care for student no one. I won't voted for any party because got no money run the uk how run uk if got no money.

who care for student no one. There should.

  • Let me guess

We can't go on like this.

  • Hi David

A quick question....i have no penis and chronic piles....will the NHS under the Tories be able to help me?

    Yours Faithfully

    Mr .E.Unuch

  • politicians.......lol........more like crooks

  • Will you ban feminist hate groups, such as the one harriet harman belongs to?

  • I really like Cameron's proposals for Education!

  • I think this is a brilliant idea by the Conservative Party. It certainly makes things a ot more Democratic, and gives a chance for Cameron to build up trust between him and the voter.

  • The Conservatives should pledge to close faith schools.

  • I agree.

  • Cameron, hater of the White working class awful. Video, truly awful.

  • What makes you think that?

  • We need to get liberal ideology OUT of the classroom and a return to common sense teaching methods.

  • Now David Cameron should come speak at our college!

  • Students have become angered by Labour's pathetic policys on Education. What would a Conservative government do differently? Students are let down by the system time and time again and as a result unemployment rises dramatically..Your Thoughts?

  • Why don't we teach them to read and write, play music and sport and look after an allotment.

  • because we are the ones who have to pick up the bill if they become drunks, get STDs, or have babies before they are 18.

  • gih2nedlaw) 3 Cheers for you I agree 100%.

  • well thats a drastic lie if you are going to make claims make sure they are true

  • There are at least 10 million Muslims in the UK NOW !

The populationof the UK is circa 75 million NOW!

Cameron will fiddle the figures just like Brown has done.

Cameron looks like the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and I woulden't trust him!

  • There are not 10 million muslims in the UK,. That is very untruee.

  • Prime Ministers Question Time. Fact, no mention by Cameron of Islam4uk getting off scot free for abusing our soldiers.Fact never any mention or opposition of mass immigration by Cameron. Fact, no mention of Sharia law now operating in 100 cities throughout the UK.

Fact, Unless Cameron openly opposes the Islamification/ethnic cleansing of the UK we have to accept he is in favour of this awful attrocity toward the British people.

  • parmount55)The UK has 66 'official' cities, So I think you need to go back to your drawing Board!

  • Well 7 vails it is common fact that Labour allows Sharia law to be practised in 100 Sharia courts throughout the UK. Check google. Will cameron expand this evil? One thing is for sure he won't condem it.

  • parmount55)The Thread is on Education ! That is why I informed you that there were only 66 City"s in the UK. (Cheek on any British Information Site) I am Not a big Fan of Believing everything I read on The Internet (after all we had the doggy Dossier that sent us to war) Go onto one of Conservatives integration /immigration talks to air this comment. Incidentally I think Shara law has no place in the UK, & Im sure its only the Lunny Leftys & Limp Librals, that would allow it!

  • Your right 7vails, the loony left have destroyed this country of ours and I know i'm slightly out of order as this is about Education. But it is very hard to get straight answers from central office and Mr Cameron worries me because he avoids certain very important issues.

This video should be about immgration and islamification and about how Mr Cameron is going to put a stop to this insanity before our country is lost.

  • David Cameron raised Islam4Uk at prime ministers questions over a month before the media hype about its proposed march, and said he wanted the group banned. It took the fuss over the march to get labour to take action.

I dont know if hes raised immigration at PMQs, the policy on radically bringing down immigration levels and imposing a cap like australia has is clear . Cameron has condemned state multiculturalism and the conservatives attacked those who say we should tolerate sharia law here

  • The British Watcher, Cameron did not say a thing when Islam4uk were let off scot free last week. Could it be islam4uk are part of the uaf who Cameron supports?

  • The party came out and said the proposed march should not go ahead. before the march was announced cameron had questioned Brown in PMQs about why he had not banned Islam4uk.

The tories would have banned Islam4uk which means it wouldnt of been able to hold a march in the first place.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

They'll be back again, under a different name but with the same goals and ideals. Then this whole charade will start over again.

  • ANd when they do come out with a new name, we should ban that right away aswell. I agree tougher action is needed on these matters. I think Cameron would be tougher than brown.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

Unfortunately, it is irrelevant how "tough" Cameron will be because eventually the EU Court of Human Rights will begin to over-rule our governments decisions in many areas.

Thanks to the Lisbon treaty a.k.a. the EU constitution, the ultimate legal authority now lies in Brussels. Its a safe amending treaty too as I understand it, so they don't even have to ask us ask us anymore before they increase it's powers further..

  • Just because the european court of human rights makes a ruling does not mean we have to follow it. They ruled years ago that some prisoners must be given the vote, our government hasnt done anything about it. They have no real power.

The European Court of Human Rights has nothing to do with the EU, the UK also has an opt out of lisbons charter of fundemental rights.

Action can be taken on these matters. the British parliament remains sovereign and plenty of european countries break EU laws!

  • @TheBritishWatcher

Well that is my opinion - I don't pretend to have any great understandin of the law in this area.

But I do believe that we are slowly but steadily losing key parts of our sovereignty to the EU, and that its not debated enough in parliament.

  • We have a choice between cameron and brown.

Cameron wants to change the European Communities Act 1972 so that future treaties that transfer power must require a referendum and seek certain powers to be returned to Britain.

He would do more than Brown.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

I was ready to vote Tory, until the EU constitution was ratified without a referendum, and Cameron gave up on standing up to Europe.

Now I'll be voting UKIP - however futile, unless Cameron promises a referendum on whether to leave the EU or at least COMPLETELY renegotiate our relationship with the EU i.e.

As much as I would like to vote Tory now, I foresee greater interference from Brussels in the near future. One day our votes will be worthless.

  • Not everything comes up at a short question time each week but the conservatives have clear policies which are a much bigger improvement than what labour have done and would continue to do.

I will send you links to each of the issues showing the conservatives attitude towards them.

  • Cameron is clearly against sharia law, he is on the record as being against state multiculturalism and says it has to stop. He isnt against uncontrolled mass immigration, he says he wants a cap on immigration to radically bring it down for current levels.

  • Why remove comments if they are untrue?

Please email the Conservative party and ask them their view on Sharia law.

You will not get an answer and thats fact!

    I know because i've tried 3 times.

  • Should muslim (and other religious) parents be able to opt their children out of lessons which teach about homosexuality just because of their own hates?

You mentioned yesterday about how wonderful the Singapore / South Korea education systems were. One policy they have is massive use of corporal punishment, i notice this was glossed over in reasons for their success. What will you do to restore order to the classroom?, CP isnt needed but tough action is.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

Surely a better question would be why are teachers being required to promote the subjective views of any one group of society rather than actually spending their time teaching?

  • Schools must teach things like sex education, we cant depend on parents to do it.

  • because.....?

  • because we cant depend on the parents to raise children properly and talk to children and things like sex, consent, sexually transmitted diseases etc. There for the state must step in and ensure all children learn such things.

  • @TheBritishWatcher

How ironic then that in the last two decades or so, as sex education in schools has become more extensive, that teenage pregnancies and STI's have skyrocketed.

I find it apalling that children are being taught how to have sex (and I know from personal experience, that sex ed. as well as sexualisation by the media did more harm than good in my life).

The State is already far too powerfu, and has become our master rather than our servant.

  • the state of sex education in our schools is awful, other countries have much better systems and whilst its not all down to the teaching, it clearly can help make a difference.

Im sorry but a teacher in school explaining things like homosexuality, consent, STDs, use of condoms etc, is not the cause of the teenage pregnancies and STIs. The media, peer pressure, cheap available of drink, these are far ore linked to the problem.

Often the serious sex education probably starts too late for some

  • I was going to respond but I fear KaMiK has done a good job without me!

    1. You're saying that parents can be trusted to give their children food and drink and all other essential necessities but somehow can't manage a conversation about the 'bird and the bees'?

    2. As noted above teaching kids about sex to reduce pregnancies etc is like teaching kids about hotwiring to reduce car theft; non sequitur.

Such principles are best left for parents who really care not a state seeking vote winners.

  • The State can never replace good parenting (which, thanks to my parents and their stable marriage 20 year marraige I got). Sex ed for me and my class mates began before most of us were hitting puberty.

It should be the parents responsibility and right to teach their children these things, at the time they judge is appropriate - not some politician with a left wing agenda.

Any sex ed. that takes place in schools should be at or shortly before children reach the age of consent.

  • @perfacetus Children will have sexual feelings and sexual experiences whether or not their parents explain them.

This is why it's best for parents to be open about it, but more importantly, about contraception.

  • I never said that wasn't the case!

All I said was that it was for parents to do when they think it is right, in their judgement and not for the state, which does not have the knowledge of each individual and is unable to divulge useful information based on value judgments and morals.

  • Children aren't taught HOW to have sex, what schools are you talking about? They are just given the facts about contraception and STIs. Trust me, I was probably in the education system far more recently than you.

  • by one year, judging by the age stated in your profile.

  • So what you're trying to say, is that your teacher taught you how the have sex? If so, then that is indeed very sick, but it is not what happens in every other classroom in the country.

Some children come from broken homes and do not trust their parents, they are the same children who are most likely to end up pregnant of with STIs because they don't know the facts about them, in that sense Sex Ed is important. Also, there is an opt-out option for Sex Ed in schools, so parents are in control.

  • @BeetzartMusic

My point is, the sexualisation of children begins at a very early age because of various reasons (not just sex ed.).

But children below 16 shouldn't be having sex AT ALL. Focusing on teaching them how to have "safe" sex, get tested for STI's, doesn't change the fact that they shouldn't be doing it.

  • So how would you propose stopping it? People under 16 do have sex, that's a fact of life - it's nothing to do with the "sexualisation" of children because it happened way before the media even existed - it's a natural human act. It's much better for them to be clued about sex than to be relying on hearsay from their friends.

  • @BeetzartMusic

as a matter of fact children ARE taught how to have sex, although not explicitly. They can cobble it together from various sources like sex ed, biology lessons (diagrams of sexual intercourse in Year 7, I kid you not), as well as the Media in films and books...

  • So what? Some children start going through puberty in Year 7, my little brother is that age now, I'd rather he knew the facts about sex than being grossly misinformed. This is 2010, we should be able to talk about sex in an open way without any feeling of danger. The fact is, problems like teenage pregnancy and STI's have been around for decades, the only difference is that in 2010 we talk about them, in the 1930's they were kept secret.

  • @BeetzartMusic

children should be allowed to develop at their own pace, rather than all of them being taught about it at an arbitrary age.

When children begin to develop an interest in the subject then yes, their questions should be answered and they should be given advice. But they shouldn't all be forced into it whether they are ready or not.

Children lose their innocence far too early. There have even been proposals to start teaching it in primary school, for 5 year olds.

  • I think there's a problem with your mindset if you're referring to 14-16 year olds as children. People do develop at their own pace and it's not as if they resent being taught about these things. Who are you to say that children are losing their innocence? My little brother and his friends know about STIs and contraception but they still act like children and, as far as I know, I was the same at that age. We should stop looking at sex as a taboo and start looking at it as a fact of life.

  • 14 year olds are children. Adolescence is something that should happen naturally, over several years, at a childs own pace.

I think there's a problem with your own mindset if you think children having sex is a fact of life OR you think the solution is to teach children Sex Ed at an exponentially earlier age. (which is what some politicians have proposed).

  • By the time someone is 14, they have most likely started puberty. In this sense, they should be considered as young adults.

As I have already said, there is an opt-out option. As well as this, a lot of students who don't want to know about Sex Ed just ignore or make fun of what is being said anyway.

I was respecting your side of the argument until you brought up this issue. Let me explain: polIticians have NEVER proposed the teaching of Sex Ed to children at the same level as young adults.

  • I did not say "at the same level". I said they have proposed to begin sex ed at an earlier age than even now.

What the government is doing is nationalising parenting. Schools are for teaching children the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as adults - not for raising children.

Sex ed. is and should be the responsibility of parents not teachers. If some parents need assistance then yes, there should be advice available. But it is still ultimately the parents duty.

  • I couldn't agree more.

The state doesn't know each individual and when each individual is at the right age like a parent does.

Also the implicit suggestion of teaching them at a younger age is that 'this is about the time you should be doing these things' (otherwise why else would they be teaching it then).

Finally moral judgments (such as endorsing monogamy preventing STD's) comes best from parents and is neglected by the state.

  • Beetzart, I you get layed in a band like yours I think you will be very lucky, They suck! If you vote conservative please dont tell anyone, it will reduce your chances to zero!

What are you going to do about Islamic faith lessons abusing children because of a loop hole in corporal punishment laws?

What are you going to do to restore respect for the monarchy and country through the education system?

What restrictions on islamic faith schools will you make or will brainwashing continue?
