I got a warwick corvette recently. I have a soft spot for warwicks for some reason but ever since the twice-as-expensive double buck was introduced and the standards started being produced in korea they've become hard to find for some weird reason.
from my experience working in our local guitar store, i have sumed up one thing modulus are better sounding with a wood fretboard, zon's are more organic sounding, and status are worth every penny
Anyone who says these bass' aren't good is a damned fool. I play ALOT of bass, and I've met some major players recently, and all of them have LOVED my Mod, AND said it's the best playing bass they're ever played. so. STFU :D
@brooklynstudio they make them with bartolini soapbars and an aguilar obp3 18volt pre-amp now. I just sold mine, but it was such an amazingly versatile bass. the bart's makes all the difference
I tried all the highend basses at Bass NW in Seattle and the Modulus Q5 was my favorite by far. The tone on this thing is insane.
I play finger style metal/hard rock with tapping and slapping as well and this bass can do it all. Every time I strap this beast on it's like getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari. My two cents.
At almost every show I play someone comes up and asks me what kind of bass it is and says my tone is amazing.
Anyone looking to buy a modulus who has stopped by this video, just a quick warning; their customer service SUCKS. I'd suggest considering looking at other basses.
@bilgemonkey74 well carbon fiber is a specail graphite so you could say that carbon fiber(AKA graphite fiber) is graphite but normal graphite is not carbon fiber

Actually a Zoom HDQ3 might actually do your basses a little more justice in terms of sound. Even the video quality as well. Just a thought.

@bigdawgandrewm Carbon fiber is absolutely NOT graphite. However graphite is carbon. The difference is significant. look it up.

this video doesn't do the quantum justice as far as sound goes.
yes, 2200 is a great deal for a modulus quantum 5.
