Hal Jordan, for the most part, is the most famous human Green Lantern. This has changed in recent years because of the Justice League cartoon which had the black Green Lantern, whose name is John Stewart. The black guy named John Stewart has an origin story. His origin is that he became Hal's back-up Green Lantern

Alright, first of all, Kyle is an artist not a cartoonist. Second, Hal got his ring in the desert (where this takes place) and Kyle got his from Ganthet in an alley. Though I guess they changed it since it's Superman the animated series.

Alan Scott's ring came from the body of a fallen green lantern corp member, that was turned into a meteor as it fell to earth during sometime in the middle ages, his ring didn't work against wood because the fallen lantern had become too cocky because yellow didn't hurt him and the guaridans made him vulnurable to the simpliest weapon to keep him in check. Think the corps member's name was Yadim Sir maybe.

I understand that Hal Jordan is by vast majority the favored Green Lantern even though he wasn't the first. But I always felt that Kyle was never given enough time to show his true protential. As for the costume I like the one they gave John Stewart in the Justice League and Justice League Unliminted series better.

Yeah, but I'm sick and tired of all the other lanterns (not the whole corps). Alan Scott was barely even green at all, Kyle's outfit is dumb AND he's generally a flat character. John Stewart, well, he just doesn't fit the role. But Hal Jordan is classic, cool, a lovable personality and he's just been through so much more.

That is intresting since both Hal Jordan and John Stewart were soldiers in concept even though Has was a test pilot. Technically Alan Scott was cardboard due to the comic genre, all heroes were during the golden age. As for the Lantern Corp they were the reason Hal got a ring at all. Kyle had tons of imagination, Hal had the experience of being a lantern. As for what Hal and Kyle have been though, Hal did see his beloved city burned to a cinder, but Kyle has had his own issues with being a hero.

Alan Scott the original THE Green Lantern, isn't part of the green lantern corps. Scott's ring doesn't get it's power from the lantern Battery on Oa, instead it comes from some "mystic" source. A green Meteor that fell to earth. Hal Jordan is still the 1st Green Lantern. In this case of technicalities there is a difference between first and original.
