pt 3. and now varieties in type of play, it is true that paintball has a more competitive form, which is speedball, unlike that of airsoft. and gains more media attention. however, it will be about time before airsoft too gets media attention, and rather making more a competitive form, they will most likely create a more tactiacal and more stealthy type of scenarios which ppl will compete for money.
pt 2. so in the end it really comes down to the individuals themselves, in airsoft, you have to have a really good sense of sportsmanship cause of the fact that there is no indication you are out, except for a sharp sting and thats it. paintball also requires sportsmanship but not as much as that of airsoft cause you will get a big paint saying IM OUT!! but the problem with this is wipers.. which makes them balanced in this category again.
look, im here to help settle this out between pb and airsoft.. .this is from the opinion of a person who plays both... i love both games, i seriously do... airsoft have all those cool looking guns.. but for paintballs, your gonna have to mod it urself, and get attachments, but in the end, you have more variety of looks you can get compared to paintball, next, both games require intensive tactical expertise, both require good sportsmanship. they are almost the same.

@yourboycal yo bro, airsoft is cool and all. marines play both airsoft and paintball. I am a paintball referee in los angeles. We have both. Overall airsoft doesn't hurt nearly as bad and its totaly different getting shot from paint and a couple of plastic bb's. Paintball is the sport though. Airsoft is popular but to say paintball sucks in here you should just suck on a fat chode.
