  • Stevie and Raul got some sort of blind telekinetic thing goin on here.

  • Probably the interesting cover of this song ever made. I get chills just thinking about what a talent like Raul Midon could do with this song given the challenge.

  • normally I just hate this song with a passion, but this version slid right by like water...

  • deep impact of inspiration raul & herbie forever.

    happy tears

    blesesse

  • Que clase de arreglo. Ufff

  • I just can't believe it is possible for humans to put such an amount of crap in the tiny space of 4 minutes. This must definitely be the WORST song I have ever heard in my life.

  • @reckoner100

Pretty harsh assessment. What's your criteria?

  • @reckoner100 Your a dick, if u dont like it dont search it.

  • Channeling Jose Filiciano, George Benson, and Al Jarreau!!! WOW!!

  • Stevie had the same reaction i did when i saw this on tv. Simply beautiful. Well done.

  • Nice reharm. Leave it to herbie :)

  • @wmanser

Thanks for mentioning that. A lot of folks don't realize how complex it was and not many vocalists could have kept up with those changes. And THEN he improvises on top of it! Beautiful!

  • this is sooo good.

  • niiiceeeeeeeeeeee :-P

  • to je hudba...hudba pro lidi co maji srdce..

  • Cuánta belleza cabe en el mundo?

    Tooooda esta?

    Dios Mío!!

Gracias Herbie, Raul, Stevie... por inspirarnos!

    Ester Andujar

  • I meant every time I HEAR LOL

  • every time I he him sing this song, all I can say is simply beautiful

  • Man, this youtube video does nothing for the emotion and energy that's put into this song. Buy the album and listen to it, it's phenominal!

  • I don't know why this was spam, it was a legit question. The Album is Herbie Hancock: Possibilities. It's also got Christina Aguilera on A Song For You, and John Mayer. A few other artists as well, but they all collaborate with Herbie!!

  • This is PHENOMENAL

  • nice changes shaped up this tune. I'm likin' this finally

  • im in a state of shock.... this is forever in my soul,,,, such a talent .... i don't how to put it in words.... WOW Dios mio que bella musica ! ! !

  • Are you hearing these cord changes!!!!!!!!!

  • my thoughts exactly man

    DAMNNN!

  • when is Raul Midon going on tour?????

  • he's on tour in Europe... i'm gonna see him 2 times in 10 days and i already saw him 3 times ...

    he 's such a genius

  • Lucky you...

  • I love it to see Stevie himself enjoying the part :))

  • he is amazing

  • thanks....

  • did a masterful job

  • raul killin

  • ラウルとスティービーは心で見つめ合う。

    座ったままのスタンディング・オベーション。

    星のようにちりばべられたハービーの鍵盤。

    Amazing.Respect.正統派伝道者。

  • burnin

  • Es lo mejor gracias por nutrirnos con tu musica.

  • it's an amazing video! raul and wonder!!!

  • I think they should ve taken the keyboard synthisounds out. gets on my nerves somehow. would ve been way more intense without!

  • craziqbal and kevierae, with all due respect, u probably havent seen his strength. granted whoever posted this vid focused on his vocals. hes still a good vocalist but WHAT NEWOMER WOULDNT BE A LITTLE NERVOUS, right??? anyway, look at his other videos.. this blind man can turn a guitar into a deadly weapon im serious.

  • estoy sin palabras

  • Hearing stuff like that makes me think: "Ah, maybe us humans are not so bad after all"

  • raul is a prick.. i met him today in pittsburgh he's a douche i bought his cd ... i should have returned it after talking to him.

  • really? wat exactly went down?

  • SURE.

  • Raul is a quiet person off the stage. Have you ever asked Brian McKnight a question? I think you're being overly sensitive - the fact that you had access to him says an enormous amount about him - he makes himself available to his fans. Not everyone does that and your comment is the reason why. It wasn't enough for you - you wanted more - like let's have coffee and go over my influences...

  • you'll be alright

  • Phuck yeah Man, I just had an orgasm off listening to that shyt!

  • Truly a gift only from GOD! You the man Raul!!!

  • Raul does has a gift!!! He is an awesome talent, truly an artist. He plays a masterfull guitar, trumpet, and can sing.

Beautiful!!! I'd love to see him live.

    Such an inspiration!!!!

  • I have seen him live, if you ever get the chance to go, no matter what else you might be doing, go and see him. The most phenominal thing I have seen and its a show i will never forget, truly inspirational...

  • @morningman04

I got to see him in a place called the Kessler Theatre. There were only 100 people there and the coolest thing was that you could hear him warming up on stage! He was such a nice person to the sound guy during the process. When the show finished I got to talk to him about music, so I asked him if he had perfect pitch. He doesn't. Then he gave me an autograph. It kicked balls. The END

  • jesus.....did u guys here his falsetto? dude that's...truly amazing. you can't practice that. it's a god's gift

  • holy crap... absolutely incredible... i cant imagine what the experience is like for stevie to hear these musicians transform his song

  • its these two amazing musicians... but thats kinda whats bad about it as well... that said theres some extremely cool stuff going on

  • The last couple of phrases Herbie played, damn boi...

  • great HARMONY

  • This is no doubt one of the most beautiful renditions of a song...PERIOD. I bought the cd and could not stop listening to this one song. This is MUSIC at its best!!! Bravo...Bravo

  • How he imitates a trumpet with his mouth is incredible, I have never seen or heard anyone do that before. I actually just caught Herbie Hancock's Possiblities on tv the other night and he did an AMAZING solo, it was fantastic. I wish I could do that.

  • two of the greatest musicians alive.

  • Beautiful all the way around. Midon gorgeous. Phillinganes' string/keyboard is sublime. And Herbie has never hit a wrong note in his life. Every instinct by these masters are right on the money.

  • super top un régal cette performance c'est avec des artistes comme toi qu'on aime et decouvre la music kiss

  • super top un régal cette performance

  • amazing

  • 2:17 is priceless!

  • raul middon is definetly fuckn amazing with his voice his guitar... and HIS TRUMpet

thank you to be alive and to share your talent with us

  • cok iyi :D

  • first time i saw this was on the possibilities cd. Midon sounded so good even Herbie was reluctant to play with him thinking that the song was already perfect without anything but Midon and his guitar. I like Herbie's addition though. Both musicians are amazing.

  • OMG!!! This is the best vocal i've heard in forever. Man, iv never heard of him till like 2 mo. ago through my obsestion with Jason Mraz. I can't beleive i havnt sooner.. He just made me have to get his album.

  • he's such an inspiration for all of us, thank God that there's still some good musicians in this world...bravo raul midon.

  • I was already a huge Raul Midon fan, but to see him with Herbie AND to see the response he got from Stevie Wonder himself is in itself a BEAUTIFUL thing! Damn, that gave me chills!

Support real musicians like Raul Midon.

  • AY-MAY-ZING! This is a MUCH better version of this song! I give Stevie his props, of course, but Midon with Hancock? Thank God for this work of art!

  • You've gotta support Midons music...This guy is the real thing...Every CD is awesome...

  • The Vocal range of this singer is phenomenal!

The musical arrangement is, for me, a soothing peaceful vibe.

  • Really nice arrangment by Herbie again! stevie played on that track in the studio, i think he likes the cover, otherwise he would not have done that....

  • y yo crei que los angeles no tenian contacto con los humanos.solo alma !!!!!

  • even steevie is triping.

  • wow - weird - he's wearing the same hat in the Tete duet of Bob Marley's Redemption song - from Paris television... Hey who cares?

  • How do you know it's the same hat. He and his crew might want project some kind of image and bought 150 of these hats.

  • amazing is the right word

  • amazing

  • That is absolutely beautiful, and who really cares if they're black, white, blind, or whatever? They all have such talent, and that's all that really matters. Your racism is what's a bit cliche. How about an original thought for once???

  • Wow, Middon Hancock on the stage, annnndddd Wonder in the audience!:)) Awesome performance, and nice to see how Stevie is enjoying the cover. :)))

    Thanx for the video.

  • Thx for uploading this. Out of that entire CD I only like this song and Christina A. Singing this Song for you

  • you guys take life way too seriously. I love raul i love stevie I dont care where either of them were from i was being cynical for the hell of it jeeeeeeeeez, and cover/tribute, do be so pedantic...

  • Herbie and Raul did the recording with Stevie long before this show... They thought they'd let Stevie sit this one out - since it was to honor his life's work...

  • Amazing!!! Thanks for putting this up!

  • no it's not raul but a friend of his...

  • The last couple of phrases Herbie played, damn boi...

  • Raul is the shizz...

  • .......tears and applause!

  • ONE BLIND BLACK MUSICIAN COVERING ANOTHER BLIND BLACK MUSICIAN. Although I love em all I can't help thinking this is a bit cliche haha

  • And I thought I was a cynic.

  • Hmm... richyphoenix, I know you mean well. But you do a dis-service to yourself in your statement... FYI, Raul father was Argentinian, not African-American. It doesn't really matter, he's a consummate musician/artist, as is Stevie Wonder. The fact that they're both dark-skinned and blind shouldn't be how we define them, does it? Hey, they're both right-handed too! :)

What a wonderful clip of music -- thanks for this.

  • jeremy from miami?

  • It was a tribute to Stevie Wonder - not a cover. They were honoring Stevie by having other people play his music for him...

  • this is great

  • It's just amazing!

    what a talent!

  • Raul Midon, a great singer, a great guitarrist... I recommend you all to check his album, its a Must-Have CD in your collection.

Mr Hancock, words are not enough to describe his talent...

  • Oh man, this killed me. Many thanks for this great video!

  • GREAT!
