okay so im new to guitarand I just cnt seem to get the finger picker right,a how do you know what chords to play while your doing the finger picker patterm?? The Tabs I've seen, for example, the saltwater room by owl city, I've been trying to learn that song but I just cnt figure out the finger picking.....

finger picking comes after a littile practice with normal stumming and then after a while start playing with your index and thum and after that try middle and ring then after all that try finger picking it with all of them
