This IS my favorite song off of Astronaut. And I couldn't remember the name of ti, or even how it went...but I succeeded in finding it! Thanks for that part...but seriously...the visuals you chose to accompany the cool live footage is horrible! Does not go with the song on any level. Had to minimize the page and just listen cause it was so distracting and was total b.s.
this song is about a man in the grip of depression, contemplating suicide but holding on to all those things he holds dear and that keep him going through all the pain!great song, great lyrics as ever from the worlds most underrated band!!!!
finest hour is the best on astronaut album...but this live is rather superb and once again duran duran need andy taylor...no other way to go but inferior duran duran otherwise. maybe duran duran should quit now?
It's almost like the song is about a person struggling with fighting against falling into a realm of darkness while also relishing the temptation of gifts this darkness promises. This and "Finest Hour" may be the best songs from "Astronaut" that never got the attention they deserved. Both should have been singles
Yeah yeah, and that exactly what did Teknosapien say... He told that "chains" was on the album "Astronaut" and wasn't released as a single ! I have the abum too and love this song, but not everyody has, so not everybody knows this song...
Bueno, doy gracias a dios que pude escuchar una obra maestra como esta, de los fab five de nuevo, alguien sabe si algun dia publicaran el inedito Reportage???
"Unreleased" as a single, but is an "Astronaut" album track, correct. The point I was trying to make was that is was NOT a single and therefore did NOT get an official video. Sorry for confusing.
Ahhh,,, gotchya. I was thinking maybe the US release had different songs (and hoping the Euro maybe did, as well... Still want a "Songs in the vault" CD release! :)
You shot that video? COOL! Thanks to you then. Without fans covering their shows, I guess TEKNO would have nothing to remix huh? I'll pass this along to TEKNO, I'm sure he'd like to say "Thank You" as well!
Did you see Simon's face when he saw Andy started playing while he's not yet finishing his intro?
