All the best for your attempt. It really was a struggle, and coming down was much harder than going up. I'd advise to prepare and train lots for it, and take plenty of good quality plasters. In fact, bandage your feet up before you start!
ok thanks for that . weve started duin some training now so .are all gearing up for it .. i admire your efforts .. did you walk from neviis down or snowdon up .??
Big group of muslim lads raising money for charity. Brother said they were really nice and friendly and then hears these two young lads in the group arguing about weed, LOL. A few punches got thrown but the clerics broke them up and gave them a right telling off, LOL!
hehe that's one of the last things you'd expect to see after climbing Snowdon. At least they raised money for charity though which is more than we did for this event.
Talking of charity I wonder if Magnatom has done his charity ride yet, I'll go check in on his channel ...
Yeah, he's written a write up about his experience on his blog., just been over to take a look. Sounds like he had a great time, although from what he wrote it seemed a bit of a slog.
My Brother, Father and two family friends did this years for Wessex Heartbeat's charity. They were a few hours over though (Dad's had health problems like hernias, etc)
We didn't raise any money for charity for this event, although collectively we raise money throughout the year for different things (which is why we didn't go round asking everybody for money again).
Yeah, we did this with the Fire Service Athletics Association and Dave (my Director at work) had a teddy dressed as a fireman - who lost his hat at the top of Ben :)
Have you seen some of the other vids of the Challenge on here, june last year was blowing a snow blizzard up top of Ben Nevis, weren't you tempted to get your emergency big orange sack out and tabogon down?? :-)
I hope just to get up and down Snowdon this year, after trying to last year and after a bit of walking the day before my foot felt like the size of a balloon so had to go home early :-(
Is your camera now surgically attached to your head? :-)
I've seen one or two on YouTube, and I've heard a few nightmare weather stories from past events! We were very lucky with our weather I think, only turned bad half way up Snowdon.
Bad news about your last Snowdon trip. Cycling doesn't seem to prepare us well for this mountain climbing lark :)
I had so many comments about my cam when I did Ben Nevis "Is that a web cam?", "What's that on the top of your head?" Etc .. thought it easier not to wear it on the other climbs!
hey myself and brothers are going to attempt this challenge .. cant wait ,..but i have a feeling its going to hurt !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
