I recommend IL-2 Sturmovik as a fun sim to practice with on the PC while at home. (NOT the XBox 360 version...too arcadey). Even though I didn't have force feedback controls the visual and sound cues provided me with enough feedback so that I knew when I was pushing the aircraft beyond its limits.
Miss Penny is going to master piloting, too? Phenomenal kid. My cousin started at a young age and still flies for a living. I know he loves it. Eventually she should try helicopters. As a passenger, I thought it was more fun, though I think it might be more dangerous.
