I've got an 87 and I don't see cats in mine and it all looks stock.
Did you leave the rest of the exhaust stock? Does it get very loud at highway speeds? I like the idle and low speed rumble but don't want it too be too loud or annoying. Did you consider Flowmaster 40 or 44? I wonder how those would sound on this truck? If I do install it I might just dump the tailpipe under the bed, or maybe out the pasenger side to duals.
what size pipes do you run?
