I am not with you, but it is not because I disagree... Humour being subjective, it does have a cultural part so an Africain could came here, say some joke that are really funny in his country but we do not find it funny. I say Africa, but it could be anywhere else, including europe or asia or even north-american...
'we came' we came from taliban we form home grown canadian terrorist for saudi arabia, allah save the saudi's. we are islamic, we are better then you, you are second class get used to it or we'll call you racist.
What do they? "We went to Bramton and in Bramton people were walking around saying: Oh god, I think it's going down the 10 tonight. Not the temperature, ..."?
Nortel is a Canadian telecommunications giant - or at least they were when this performance was taped. Their stock price in March 2000 was $126/share; just one year later it had crashed to $14/share. It's now worth 29 cents...
There is different factor: Mismanagement, restructuring, irregularities, they where overrated be speculator, a lot of people did try to get "a bigger foll" in these time (it is not moral, but it still legal: buying something you know it's overated to find a foll to buy it with profit anyway), they where also on a deregulated market (did not help), and a new important part of market was creating job (optic fiber). So, they go bersek.
This song's hilarious. A Canadian friend had me listen to this and I laughed myself silly over it. Absolutely brilliant. As my friend says "Canada ... it takes a special kind of crazy." :)
i am actually from KW (kitchener-waterloo) and if we ran out of beer and sausages during oktoberfest there would it would be a disaster. also i was just wonderring but when i saw this on just for laughs wasn't there more of it?

Err, "what do they say" I meant.
Orel222 3 years ago
Orel222: They say "Not the temperature, Nortel". They wrote a song about it, called "Heartbreak Nortel".

oo i c So was it bigger than Bell before? and how come they crashed?
intensenex 2 years ago
@intensenex : Mismanagement, ill-advised restructurings and accounting "irregularities", combined with the tech bubble bursting.

Nortel was a telecommunications giant... But was also overrated; this is how you get a bubble actually.
