  • WE LOVE SAGE!!!!!

  • It seems like he just got bigger and bigger physically.

  • @1MrPink1 well, good thing i dont listen to him because the way he looks haha

  • anyone know what that song with the piano is in the first 5 seconds?

  • ill! I want the DVD now.

  • so sick, Sage kills, son

  • is this just sage using Monch's beat or is this some kind of hit on the song he made?

  • sage usually does a couple of these every show. he'll just use the instrumentals of a song and make his own version just for shits. he played the team america theme song at rock the bells last year.

  • siiick beat

     name?

  • simon says

pharohe monch or something like that

  • simon says, Pharohe monch

  • this small clip made me want this DVD

  • damn he was about to kick into that sick as fuck "personal journalist" song, i would have creamed seeing him do this and then "personal journalist"

  • nah he doesn't do "personal journalist" after this, it just plays the beginning of the beat for a second

  • you know its gonna be a good show if he comes out like THAT hahahaha

  • HAHA true that!

  • i'm probably stating the absolutely bloody obvious, but sage is having a dig at Mr P Monch for becoming more mainstream, right?

  • YYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH sage is the illist

  • sage came hard

  • oh my god! hahah. i'm stunned. sage is so ballsy, man.

  • THAT'S JUST IT!

"I love Sage BUT a lot of his fans DO listen to indie, metal etc."

"he appeals to metal/indie rock/punk scene kids more than hip hop heads like myself..."

You guys say these things as if when your music appeals to a vast and eclectic fan base, that it's a bad thing?

I listen to Sage, and I also listen to a lot of other kinds of music, including metal! Does listening to metal or indie music not make me a hip hop head? Because that's basically what you guys are saying.

  • fair enough. i misunderstood your comment.

ain't nothing wrong with metal, one of my fave artist is mushroomhead ffs lol

  • haha.

    nice.

  • dude, i can't bleieve this mf pulled out a gun on the crowd, that's awesome

  • pharoahe Monch

  • what song is this?

    lyrics?

  • its parallel to simon says- its not a song he wrote however, he probably just made the shit up to intro a set.

  • bummer cause its dope!

  • no doubt

  • actually it is part of a whole song, though I'm pretty sure the beat is from simon or something else, The entire song is about guns crack and whores, ormore its about how everyone has to have a song about guns crack and whores, except for him, only in making the song he does now.........if that makes any sense, haha its classic sage thinking though.

  • parable i meant.

  • pharoahe Monch

  • simon says remix by pharoahe monch

  • We are not worthy!

  • sAAAAAAGGGGEEE!!!!.

  • damn, he put on some weight...

  • ah man i love when he points the gun at the crowd, such a badass.

  • this is wicked as hell

  • Nice flip of the words there when he said "girls hold on to your dignity" Sage is good.

Anywhere know where i can download this as an mp3?

  • sage is good? understatement there man, sage is tha fuckin' best!

  • What's the name of the beat playing??

  • thats Pharoah Monche - Simon Says

  • edit: Pharoahe Monch

  • the best place to see him is in RI, somewhere small where he is really himself.

the best "show" I've ever seen him do was just a random appearance at an open mic night at University of Rhode Island. he walked up with his beanie pulled over his face, grabed the mic like some crack head that wanted to ruin the show...but eventually, he opened into AMAZING spoken word and I recognized his voice. I was blown away by his in-person presentation.

  • that sounds like something realllly dope to see. cause i see how sage acts in some videos and then when i see him live it's like he's not feeling the crowd.

  • Is anybody else infuriated by the sole-less human scum that pervades the internet and for that matter the whole world? Everyone needs to make a living somehow but I don't know how these scammers and spammers can live their life this way. Maybe they've lost all hope in humanity? Maybe they're just simple machines who feed only off of money?

  • Sage hates pieces of sh!t like you marcopoloa. It's sad that some retarded mofos are probably gonna go to that site anyways.

  • he does look like paul g

  • yea sage kills...he always kills!

  • Has anyone else noticed he looks like Paul Giamotti from American Splendor and Lady in the Water ?

  • nuts

  • devote, you're not seriously comparing Jrassic 5's lyrics to Sage's, are you?

  • I don't know if I could say he's the most powerful lyricist, but he is my favorite. The great thing about him is how it's less that he's writing songs, but putting a beat under his spoken word. He's a poet who has an affinity for good sounding flows and bumps. God I fuckin' love this guy. Very Bukowski in tone.

  • Sage pulls a gun?! Sweet!

  • that was a crazy flip of that song..nice one.."girl hold on to your dignity"..ahahahaha..nice

  • hell yeah, ill

  • simon says (remix)

  • sick

  • This is Pharoah Monche's song, correct?

  • yea

  • seeing sage live is totally worth it. Hes the most powerful lyricist ive ever seen on stage.

  • I do like Sage and all,

and I havent seen him live persay to say that he isnt raw..but "most powerful lyicist ever"..

have you seen The Roots live, KRSONE, Jurassic 5, etcetcetc

  • ive heard some roots, and ive heard a lot of KRS-ONE no jurrasic 5. i mean yeah KRS-ONE is a major contributor to hip hop, but he cant fuck with sage lyrically, not in the least bit

  • you can't even compare sage francis to krs. two different eras and two different rappers. both of them are great in their own ways

  • Ive promised myself to see a Sage concert before i die.

  • sage is too good

  • Sage Francis is an amazing act in concert.

  • seconded. Saw him supporting Prince Paul and DM&Jemini and he almost stole the show.
