  • Crowder not an elite fighter...a roller skater at best.

  • lol...coxe has not fought in 2 years....and BOY DID IT SHOW....HAHAHAHA

  • Probert decked Crowder with a beautiful uppercut in the rematch!!!

  • Crowder was the best in the business, he proved it when he kicked Probert's ass! He had Probert's blood on his knuckles to prove it!

  • First off, Troy was an ok fighter who landed a lucky shot in his first fight with Probert when Bob stepped on a stick. In the rematch, Probert TKO'd him. Hell, Darren Kimble TKO'd Crowder and John Kordic beat his ass multiple times. Troy lost to Peluso, Rich Pilon, Craig Berube, Lyle Odelein, Lyndon Byers, Sandy McCarthy, and Jim McKenzie a couple of times. He had one good year fighting in his career and thats about it. He's nowhere near the best!

  • Bosox your kinda right but dont discount Crowder - your making it sound like he was a bum. the guy was a very good fighter before his back went out on him and he was never the same (Went to the Wings + the devils got Randy McKay) -- Troy Crowder was a tall rangy fighter with long arms and REAL power! He was very dangerous and was also very young, he was maybe 22-23 at the time he was tearing up the league, its 2 bad he hurt his lower back but he was a legit NHL fighter

  • At no point did I say he wasn't a legit NHL fighter! He was, but Lyndon Byers beat him in a clean fight, and I wouldn't count LB as a top 20 all-time fighter! Yes, he had back problems, but he was nowhere near elite! He did well against the best in the game...so did Wendel Clark! It doesn't make him a great fighter!

  • crowder may have won a fight against probert but id wouldnt say he ever kicked his ass. if you want to see probert get smacked watch the fight betwn he and todd ewen when ewen was w/st. lou. bob usmc hit the nail on the head, nobody is immune to losing a scrap.

  • @toallmyfans25 crowder was "not" and never was the best in the business

  • Craig Coxe, aka, the human punching bag!

  • Crowder had an awesome right hand! I don't think I have ever seen anyone get the better of Troy Crowder in a fight.

  • I think it was Darren Kimble who beat Crowder pretty good. Landed some hard, hard rights that buckled Crowder. Basically, in the world of hockey, nobody is immune to losing a scrap, nobody.

  • "Coxe hadn't fought in 2 years. And he wont fight for another 2, because he gets beat up. My gosh!" LMAO

  • "And he's sorry he did" - Great quote from the announcer! That's fuckin' funny!

  • Hockey fact did you know that Coxe scored San Jose first goal in NHL history.

  • devils kicked that sorry canucks ass

  • You people MUST be joking...ever heard of Bob Miller?? None of those two clowns you mentioned could carry Bob's microphone cable even...

  • Bring back the old Green/Red Devils jerseys too!

  • i agree with you catguy they were awesome BRING THEM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what?? they looked like fucking Christmas trees! It looks like Stevie Wonder designed their uniforms. I bet you like the Canucks jerseys from the 70's too!

  • bring back the old vancouver jerseys, won't you? they were one of my faves then they done changed it to something way worser!

  • They by far had the sweetest of the old school jersey's.

  • what's the main commentator's last name? gary...? man, he was my favorite. he did the '94 stanley cup games between new york and vancouver. it was epic.

  • Gary Thorne. He's still around. IMO, he's still the best play-by-play hockey announcer out there.

  • uh, Gary Thorne is the 2nd best announcer. Mike (Doc) Emrick is the best.

  • I think youll find Mickey Redmond is the best hahaha. Gotta love that guy.

  • Mickey is so fun to listen to. "OH! Probert just decked him to the ice!"

  • Pat Foley is the best. Gary Thorne and Mike Emerick are defineately top notch. Bill Clement is (or was) one of the best color guys too. Does he still do that? Last I saw he was hosting the Hockey on NBC program.
