The hardware was the let down. Seriously, you don't put enough memory inside the thing for it to function day-to-day? With the $199 the hardware should of been premium. Instead Palm tried to cut corners so it wouldn't sink. But it did. The new HP Palm phones in real life do hold a more premium feel. Hell, the HP Veer matches the power of an Evo Shift 4G in really small package. I want the Pre 3, but unsure if I'll get bored with the design.

no, this phone is absolute trash. not to be the hater comment, but ive owned this thing for a little over a year and i cant stand it anymore. it gets slower and slower as time goes on. there are so many problems with it i cannot even begin to tell explain. you just need to experience them for yourselves. i even went to the sprint store to get a new one when mine was obnoxiously acting up. i literally have to restart the phone 3 or 4 times a day, the battery life is shit, and much more. bad phone

I own one for almost a year. I hate it from the beginning until now. Just making a simple call requires you a lot of steps. It also has a mind of its own. It dials my friends even when in my pocket. A lot of things can get wrong with its touchscreen by bringing you to a place you dont want to and as a result you will end up calling a friend unintentionally. You must turn of the lcd when in a call or else your ears will end the call. I hate this a lot. Im gonna break this soon when i have a new 1

Also there's a lock button for putting in your pocket.

But most important, by the way you talk about it, sounds like your screen is not working well, it is probably doing "clicks" on its own. That's why it makes phone calls or ends calls.

i have the palm pre plus, from verizon and its freaking amazing. has just as many apps as iphone, is way smaller and better looking, can multitask, and is customizable. it doesnt even have the little ball on the front so its super sleek. The only thing i wish it had was the ability to put a code on it for unlocking.

nah, its a myth. The only disagreement between apple and palm is with iTunes syncing. You cant sync up your Palm Pre with iTunes anymore.

Apple fanboys can suck my scrote. In the end, The pre is made of cheaper materials, and runs a little slower, but costs half price retail, and the plans are waaay cheaper. AT&T iphone plan = min. $80/month. I have the same plan but with Fave 10 #'s, unlimited text, and extended evenings for $35/month. Also, the software on the pre is better. While Apple is extremely restrictive, Palm encourages "jailbreaking" the phone, for example, with Preware.
