  • Dudes got like 5 mr2s

  • @Driftlexus I have owned 5 MR2s, but have only owned three at most at one time

  • Very Cool :) Trying to get my '91 sorted right now so I feel your satisfaction

  • Im about two weeks from doing the same to my '93 Toyota Celica GT-S. Just waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive. Ill make a video of it. Now I feel more inspired to get my Celica fixed up. Thanks for the Video. It's great. :)

  • loved this vid bro awesome

  • what is the stuff that u use to seal the gaskets on the motor??? and what should i use to seal a oil pan gasket ???

  • @cOdGd7 I used red RTV to seal the oil pan....people recommend going with toyota black but red RTV works if you do it right

  • fuckin dope!!

  • Hey bro can you help me take an engine out of an MR2 and put another engine back in? princetonapts@yahoo.com Victorville Ca

  • Increible, me gusto mucho ver como armaste ese motor desde el principio y fue muy emocinante, (no tanto como debio haber sido para ti) el momento en que lo prendiste, wow it was amazing dude. congratulations.

  • Awesome vid dude, nothing like the satisfaction of doing that yourself. I assume you drove straight to a carwash lol

  • How long did it take you to rebuild the whole thing?

  • This is one of those vids u just thumbs up right at the start. I really should have done filming like this on my 5M-GTE instead of some pictures. Freakin sick, have you dyno'd it yet?

  • how did you get a oil feed line to the turbo?

  • Looks like your going to have to rebuild that motor again..... 6:40 - 6:55 as he is backing up the ground infront of the headlights is wet ............ oil !? anti-freeze !? who knows

  • @IrnMaiden304 You can see the puddle at 6:37 Looks like water.

  • @4age20vbt was a pool of water that was on the transmission from topping it off.

  • nice very nice

  • Hell Ya. I am doing this right now to a celica :)

  • can u use the 5s transmission?

  • @waffleshadow yup im using the 5s trans with my 3s in my celica

  • AAWW Man! the feeling of doing your own work on your car and then driving it is amazing!!! are u from cali??

  • @jasononbass124 yup from the diamond bar area

  • How many engine builds have you done? Do you have any professional experience or are you just a DIY kind of guy like me? My 3sgte needs a rebuild and I'm thinking about doing it myself. A little nervous because I've never built any engine before. Also, what kind of measurements did you make? Did just check the bearing clearances or go the whole 9 yards and check everything the bgb calls for? Thanks man, and sorry for the lengthy post.

  • @RAF92Warhawk just this one, nope just DIY, used plastigage, yup checked everything, no problem, good to see serious questions like yours

  • I cant imagine doing a transplant like that in an MR chassis without a hoist. Nice work.

  • Hey man! Thats movie it's great but i've question, well why are you building in 5S-FE to 5S-GTE? Is it much better than in 3S-GTE or just only joke?

    just visited my website:)

  • probaly the coolest engine build video ever. good job man

  • Did you use a 3sgte head and cams

  • How much horses she makin? or have you not dynoed yet?

  • Inspiring Vid!

  • hello. if I have a gen 2 mr2 atmosferico.aun works well. but as soon as spoil me, I would ask myself how I can rebuild it with better parts factory, because I like having more than 156 hp. that has little to a 2.0 L, thanks for replying to the message a greeting from the Canary Islands (Spain) 10 mr2 there here in the Canary Islands and would like to look ejejejej a beautiful motor.

  • @mrcesartf7 you would have to get custom pistons for your rebuild if you wanted to get a turbo and make 250+ whp

  • Eres un amañado. te llamare cuando se me estreopee el mio , aunque no sea turbo :)

  • @mrcesartf7 Usted tiene un 3sge que usted vaya a reconstruir? English?

  • that was very good.......very very good. there's a satisfying feeling when working on your own car. kudos bro.

  • @MrMk4life thanks! and yup

  • I will pay you to rebuild my 3sgte, but with your shirt on, haha jk good video, very nice build. Is she still running pretty good these days?

  • @tlesiak91 of course

  • 5S-TGE??? I've never heard of that b4 would somone please enlighten me on the engin...shear briliance with the vidoe btw

  • possibly the coolest vid ive ever watched nice car and very nice engine rebuild!

  • Awesome video.

  • Did you have the water ports filled and recut to match the 3S head?

  • @csbakeraz Nope, btw I responded to your post on AT

  • damn bro you got some balls LOL

  • what type of engine management system are you running on?

  • @spoon55 stock for now, standalones cost around $2000 for these cars so it will have to wait

  • I'm not sure why he calls it a 5S-GTE since that's clearly a 3S block (water jacket gives it away). The only thing 5S it has is the crank. Nice time lapse vid, though.

  • @DaleRider1954 INCORRECT, notice the 5s oil cooler lines, you fail

  • @DaleRider1954 Do you know what you are even talking about? Nice copy/paste on my observation from Anandtech garage, and it appears to be wrong anyway.

  • Are those headers stock? they dont look stock? Nice finger penis @ 5:30.

  • @MultiShit666 yes it's stock, thanks, that's my friend onyxaltezza's penis

  • Hey curious how much you spend on having the crank journals turned down?

  • @toyodawiz $240

  • nice! same thing happen to my motor before but on #4

  • Good work!

  • you did a great job

  • 05:30 LOL

  • What were you applying to the gaskets?

  • nice work man! props, man can't believe u did this all by yourself, crazy, this is Van from CSUF btw Alyssa's dad.

  • I got the know how to do this, but I lack the tools and workspace to do it on a day to day basis sadly. So for now I gotta work on my deuce whenever I'm in class :/

  • how many pounds did you torque the head down onto the block??

  • Great video man i wish i had half the mechanical knowledge you have/

  • dude that is so clean I love this video thanks for taking the time and posting :)

  • thanks! it probably took over 15 hours extra on top of the build to take and edit the footage to get the video exactly how i wanted it..

  • @tdc7 people really need to do this more often though it just looks so much better, so as of now what are the modifications to your MR2?

  • all the mods are listed under the more info section, the car ran about 13.59~ 1/4 mile on very low boost, should definitely be in the 12 second range when i turn it up to 15 psi

  • really nice video!!!

  • Loving it! best vid i have seen in a long time.

  • very nice job on the build!!

  • Dude this is by far the best Car video on youtube. Kudo's and super props to ya!

  • That's nice nice bro good job!

  • Amazing.. if only there where avid MR2 owners in my area...... ugh..

  • Charles come to norcal and ill get another mr2! ha

  • in his pj's no less.....

  • Pretty sick video!

  • by the way, original purpose i watched this for, hows "f1" flywheel? it's ebay stuff so i wonder. amazing job btw, one day. unbelieveable.

  • It is a little lighter than stock, definitely a lot heavier than the Fidanza flywheel I had for 1000 miles before the ring gear broke. I liked the Fidanza a lot better, but there was way too much clutch chatter with it. There's a lot less chatter with the F1 flywheel

  • dang dude. love this video. God i love watching a motor put together fresh. you self taught?

  • Fellow 5sgte owner haha this video rock favorite ftw.

  • tiiiiight..

  • Thing of beauty watching her come together....

I have a 95 Camry with the good ole 5SFE... Just getting tired of running out of steam around 4800RPM and feelin flat to red... Get that bottom end to wrap out a bit more and it'd howl I'm sure.... Hows she run?

  • Nice build, I don't own a MR2 anymore but i still have a spare 5S laying around, maybe its my calling card.

  • WTF isn't this 3sgte engine cuse 5sgte engine doesn't come with a turbo.

  • 5sfe is non turbo.

    3sgte is the turbo.

He is using a 5s block, for a 2.2 stroker.

  • Nice build Woot Woot

  • Awesome! imma have to read the thread on mr2oc now

  • thats some build man.wish u could do that to mine!
