Errol Buddle was the reason I took up bassoon. I was 16 and uncle asked me to look after his album collection, which included AJQ +1. The album features the Jazz in D Minor and there's a moment in the third movement that is flute and bassoon counterpoint. The moment I heard it, I knew this was an axe I had to play.
I have this album, its old and i played a lot. I love jazz, these guys were really great.

They were one of the best jazz quartets around. So, so sorry I gave my albums away to a mutual friend and buddy who collected them.

..... Errol Buddle was the definative proponent of Jazz Bassoon. Often over-looked. Thanks for posting. RPz
