The judges on this show are full of shallow dreams. They give the contenstants hope by saying to EVERY good act "YOU'RE GOING TO BE FAMOUS". Especially Brian, he shouldn't be talking seeing hardly anyone knows a song he's writen. Fame isn't something that comes from a talent show, it's how you keep working on it and building a good fanbase after it, these shows are just a launching pad, but unfortunately most of the contestants think it's a straight path to success and just give up after.

Take for example Adam Lambert (runner-up), Jessica Mauboy (Runner-up), David Archuleta, so many other singers. It's the mentality that the winner gets when they are signed to a record deal, they become lazy because of the opportunity and then leave it to pass them by, the main thing you need is a good fanbase. Without it there is no chance at all.
